I think it has been a few days since the incident happened yet I am still trapped in my lifeless body. I feel powerless, taken from this world. I feel alone trying to fight this dark whole I am in with no way out.

Elijah has been here every single day, talking to me about his day and any other gossip that has found his ears. He even spoke about how he got the shop back on track, at least there wasn't a lot that got damaged. I enjoy his company even though I can't have a conversation with him but his voice puts my mind at ease.

The day went by quick but my thoughts were running wild and it was driving me insane.

I heard the nurses talking to one another in the hall way and it seemed like it was time for the night time visitors. I felt so happy knowing Elijah will come and visit me again.

Just like that his foot steps enter my room, I heard the chair pulling closer to the bed and he takes a seat. He keeps quiet but then I hear him sigh yet I can't place his emotion, but when he starts talking to me I can hear that he sounds frustrated.

"Paisley... please wake up." he asked me with so much frustration in his voice it killed me.

There was silence but he broke it after a few minutes.

"The shop was busy today sold a few items, but everyone kept asking how you are and I don't know what to say anymore." he confesses.

Silence fills the room yet again and I am fighting with all my might to wake up or to just move a finger but I have no luck.

"Paisley it hurts me seeing you like this, why did this have to happen to you? I wish I got there earlier, this is all my fault. I am so sorry Paisley." he moves forward and puts his hand in mine.

"Paisley I can't do this without you, I need you by my side please just wake up." he asked me again.

His words made me feel so happy inside and I felt a tear escape the corner of my right eye.

Come on Paisley wake up, you can fight this!

I kept on fighting with myself I needed to wake up and I am going to. But all I see is darkness the more I notice his hand in mine the more I see the little light at the end, and I fought with everything I still had left.

Then I saw it, I saw the light and I took my opportunity, I took my lifeless body back from the darkness and pull out into the light. I squeezed his hand as hard as a possibly could to let him know I am here, I am awake, I am back.

"Paisley?" he questioned me, he looks up at me and I open my eyes to see him.

"You are awake? I can't believe this am I dreaming?" he asked me.

I tried to shake my head but the pain stopped me. "Elijah" I look at him and smile struggling to speak but I mustered up enough energy to prove to him I am here and I am awake.

His face lights up like a Christmas tree but with such a shock expression that made me want to laugh. "say... som" I got cut off by him when he placed his finger on my lips.

"Shhh you need to rest don't waist your energy, I will call the nurse okay. Just give me a second." he told me and got up, he was acting strangely but I let him be.

Seconds later he walked in with the nurse trailing right behind him. She came right to my side and examined me from head to toe. "Right Miss. Walker I will call the doctor and he will examine you as well and make a decision." she smiles and leaves us alone.

I turn my head to face Elijah and he is smiling like and idiot. "I am so happy that you are awake, I thought that you would never wake up." he moves forward and sits on the edge of my bed. I couldn't say much but I smiled back at him.

It has been about a week now since a waked up, and they are ready to discharge me today I can't be more happy. Elijah said he will pick me up and take me home and look after me while I am at home, because according to the doctor I need at least another week of bed rest before I can try and conquer the world.

The clock hit 10 and just like Elijah said he was there, papers signed and all my stuff ready all I have to do is climb in the wheelchair and off we go. "Hello sunshine, how are you feeling today?" he asked me while bringing the wheelchair closer to me.

"Better I guess my head just hurts a lot." I told him while slowly getting into the wheelchair.

"Well the doctor prescribed you some pain medication." he said pushing the wheelchair out the room, well that's a relieve at least I will have some strong pain medication.

We made our way out the hospital to the car. Elijah was being such a gentleman these past few days and I absolutely adore him for that. He opened the car door for me and helped me into the car, then he ran to the boot and put the wheelchair in the back and before I knew it he was in the seat starting the car.

The ride home was comfortable silence that I really enjoyed and when we reached my home I couldn't wait to see Rosie. I bet she missed me as much as I missed her, I have never been away from her for this long.

Elijah pushed me inside and closed the door behind him. "Rosie mommies home." I called out to her, I saw her run around the corner with full speed and nearly collided with my legs but managed to stop herself just in time. She jumped on my lap and went crazy, but it warmed me up inside knowing she missed me.

I rubbed her tummy while Elijah pushed me to the couch, I got up,took Rosie in my arms and made my way to the couch.

Elijah sits down next to me and sighs. "And now the healing process begins, I will be staying here and looking after you." he told me.

"Elijah I can't expect you to stay here, I will be fine." I assure him.

"No point in arguing with me because I am staying." he made his point clear to me.

I just kept quiet and smiled, he got up and kissed my forehead. "So what would you like for dinner?" he asked me walking to the kitchen.

I might as well get uses to him being around, it can't be that bad.
