{chapter 24}

petra's POV 

my eyes slowly fluttered open. i glanced at the clock placed above the TV that stated 12:00. i then realize that i was sleeping on the sofa-bed, a warm sky blue blanket over me. 'wait has he...' i thought. i then felt his arms wrapped around my waist our legs tangled together. i felt my cheeks burn up. i turn around and saw levi sleeping. i ran my fingers through his hair,wondering, were we really going to last? or was it all going to end soon? i felt my hear sink at the thought. 'no' i told myself. 'he said we'll last so we will'. will we? i glance at the clock again 12:04. 

i sat up and shook his shoulders a bit saying his name,telling him the time. he mumbled something in reply. since i didn't understand it i continued my attempt to wake him. after a while he only opened an eye. as i was about to say something he pulled my arm making me fall back on my previous position. he pulled me closer to him,resting his head on mine. 

"5 minutes..." he mumbled. 

"b-but school-" 

"petra" he said. his voice softer than ever. i hummed a reply. 

"it's friday.. i can stay" 

i blushed at the thought. right.. it was friday. Dammit Petra you idiot! but levi... he wanted to stay? he's never done this before when i fall asleep in the middle of a movie. i put my thoughts aside and wrapped my arms around him as well. falling asleep once more.

Levi's POV

    "Levi! Levi!" her voice. Petra's voice. She was calling for me. But it didn't usually sound as the way it would. it had panic. then I heard her scream. I looked around the darkness. I couldn't see anything. I couldn't see her. Then i felt panicked when I heard her scream again. 

    "petra?" no reply. i started walking. 

    "petra?!" My pace was no longer slow. 

    "Petra!!" Now I was running into the darkness until something-someone grabbed my shirt from behind. I turned around to find her standing behind me. But i didn't see happiness in her eyes. She was pale. her eyes were wide. and her hair was messy. With her soft voice, she said, "I love you" and before I knew it she was shot.

Petra's POV 

    Levi awoke, sitting up panting and sweating. He ran his fingers through his hair and looked at the area where I had slept beside him. I closed my Geology notebook. "Levi?" I called him. He quickly turned around and there was an instant relief in his eyes. he got up and and ran to me. His embrace was so sudden. I dropped my highlighter and hugged back. What happened? did he have a nightmare? 

    "Levi, what-" 

    "Shut up and just let me hold you like this for a long time" 

    I stroked his head, letting his breathing ease. "what did you see?" i asked. He nuzzled his face into my neck. "you" he said "I saw a world without you". He held me tighter. A world... without me. That was what he dreamt about. I wondered if I should tell him that i had the nightmares. We would be holding hands but then he'd say that he we weren't working out. that we weren't meant to be. then he'd walk away. I would start having no control over myself. It was like the dream was controlling me. I was on the edge of a cliff. and I jumped.
