Chapter 32:
"Pen, she's gonna think I'm weird and she'll hate me," Kylie wailed, "I can't meet your sister. She's like perfect! A-And she sings like a freaking goddess."
I felt as if Kylie liked my sister more than she liked me.
We were heading backstage of Little Mix's concert, the band that my sister was in. Kylie, who was walking beside me, was breathing in and out over and over and over again. She looked as stressed as she did on the airplane earlier this week.
She was dressed a bit more extravagently than I was. I chose only to wear a flowy white tank top paired with one of my dark denim colored jeans. I wore one of my favorite pairs of shoes- my floral converses.
I only had a slight obsession with converses.
Kylie had chosen to wear something a little more formal, even when I told her that it wasn't necessary and yes, she could wear her Little Mix t-shirt if she chose to. But she had gone with a sky blue dress, one that she said she'd save for a special occasion, paired with a pair of her white wedges. Along with that, she wore a set of bangled around her wrist.
"You'll be fine," I chuckled, "Perrie's not that judgemental. Once you get to know her a bit more, you'll want to be her best friend, not mine."
I had to bring out all of my ID stuff in order to get backstage as did Kylie. I already told Perrie I was bringing a friend. It took forever and when the security guard said, "I'll be right back to see if I can let you through," I nearly died of frustration.
A mirror image of myself appeared though, right when the security guard was about to turn around. "Penelope!" She squealed. "It's okay, you can let her through. She's with me. God, she's my identical twin, did you really need to check everything?"
He opened is mouth to reply, but Perrie grabbed onto my wrist and dragged me backstage. Kylie followed behind, trying to hide her excitement as best as she could.
"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god," Kylie kept repeating to herself, "I'm gonna die."
"Hey there," Perrie said to Kylie, "you must be Pen's friend. I'm Perrie, her identical twin sister, if you can't tell."
"I-I...Perrie Edwards. Such a big fan. I love your voice and, oh my god I'm actually speaking to you," Kylie stuttered. "I have your DNA CD and it's flawless. Oh my god, will I see the rest of the girls?"
As if on cue, three other girls appeared next to Kylie. I knew them all, well over a Skype call if that counted. I met them some other times when they were on the X Factor and I visited, but I never really got to know them that well.
Other than Perrie in the band, it was Leigh-Anne, Jade, and Jesy.
"Oh my god, there's two of em," Leigh-Anne gasped, "I mean I knew you two were twins, but there's literally no differences!"
"Actually," Perrie said, "I'm half an inch taller than Pen."
"Yeah, she holds that against me a lot. But hey, at least she's got a different color of hair. That makes it a whole lot easier." Unlike Perrie, I liked to keep my hair blonde. Sure we had the same face, but she pulled off colored hair a whole lot better than I ever could.
"Nice to see you again," Jesy told me and engulfed me into a tight hug, "I haven't seen you since when? The X Factor?"
"And a few Skype calls, "Jade added.
"Before she faints," I told the other three, "this is my friend Kylie who is a big fan of yours."
"Hi," Jade smiled and I swore Kylie nearly collapsed. Her grin was so big, it was creepy. It reminded me somewhat of the Joker from Batman.
