Chapter OnceThis chapter goes out to my bestie Channaynay! I love you lotta days girl!
++++++++++++++++++++++++"Admit it."
"Admit what?"
"Admit that it's the best!"
"How about this? I'll admit that it's completely boring as hell."
"It's not boring!"
"I don't believe that."
"Well you should! Because it's not boring, it's the shit!"
"Ha," Channa scoffed. "Sure."
"Don't 'sure' me!" Elizabeth snapped. She had been sitting in Channa's lap quite comfortably for the past hour, debating with her about completely nonsensical things. "Animal crossing is the shit. I know what I'm talking about!"
"Oh be quiet," Channa grinned, running her nails across her girlfriends blushing cheek. Elizabeth returned the affectionate gaze as the mood shifted quickly from a playful disagreement to an almost romantic lifetime movie moment. She wrapped her arms around Channa's neck and pulled her down for a warm kiss, their lips greedily savoring one another's. When their mouths finally parted, they took in each other, contentment glowing in their eyes. This was how they always wanted it to be.
"You're everything."
"What do you mean, love?" Elizabeth inquired softly, wiping away a stray eyelash from the smooth milk chocolate flesh beneath Channa's left eye. "Hmm?"
Channa cleared her throat and spoke again, "I-I know this is real cheesy and I'm pretty sure I've heard it somewhere before, probably from one of Rian's horribly, sappy romance flicks... but believe me when I say, that you are everything."
"Channa..."
"I mean it Elizabeth. You mean the fucking world to me. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you. You make me feel... better than happy. Full circle, if that makes any goddamn sense."
Liz was fighting the urge to cry. Gosh, why do I have to be so sensitive? She thought to herself. She couldn't help it though. Channa's words were moving her to near blubbering pieces. "Oh babe... You're all that for me too." With her glossy manicured hands grasping Channa's cheeks, Elizabeth fiercely pressed her lips against her girlfriend's again, the kiss deepening every second. Channa's fingers began to dance along the hook of Lizzie's bra...
"Wait," Lizzie whispered, breathlessly, pulling away. "Let's go to your room, Rian might see us."
"Don't worry about that," Channa said, "she left last night."
"Where to?" Lizzie asked.
"Her mom's. She wanted to spend Thanksgiving there."
"Oh, well that's understandable." Elizabeth could relate to that, but there was something else she didn't quite get. "Soo... that's tomorrow."
"Yep."
"Aren't you spending it with your family?"
"Nope."
"Why?"
"Because..."
"Why don't you ever go home for the holidays, babe?"
Channa bit her lip. She didn't want to talk about her parents. She wanted to be lost in her girlfriend's beautiful hazel eyes and her gorgeous smile.
"Because, I don't need to." Channa replied, gingerly tucking a strand of loose black hair behind Lizzie's ear. "I already have everything I want right here." Ending on that final note, she got up and gently took Elizabeth's hand, and led her to the bedroom.

"Rian!"
"What mom? I'm already running late."
"Running late for what? You're just going to your stupid dad's house. He probably didn't even buy you a present for Christmas this year..."
Her mother ranted on about how horrible and cheap her ex husband was. Rian only cringed. She never liked it when her mom spoke so badly about her dad. She understood they had their issues, but she didn't need to be reminded of them. It was already bad enough being a constant reminder herself, of their failed marriage.
"Shut up Erma and let her go already, fuck." Her mom's boyfriend scolded suddenly, as he sauntered into the kitchen wearing a white muscle shirt and faded blue shorts. Rian's mother blushed fiercely, the anger dissipating. A wide smile broke onto her face.
"Oliver!" Her mother whined, drawing out his name longer than was needed. She always did that. He, in return, cursed at her again but in Spanish. Rian's mom crossed her arms in amusement. After several years of this, Rian still couldn't quite grasp a complete understanding of their relationship... but ultimately, it didn't matter what she thought. Because it worked. Her mother was happy and that's what counted.
Rian smiled, utterly entertained at the sight of her mom and Oliver exchanging silly insults back and forth. Her mother needed someone like him. Because he wasn't an enabler of her crap. In fact, there were many occasions where he had to put her mother in check before her aggressive vocal vomiting became nearly implacable.
And it was oddly relieving knowing that he could.
Minutes passed as she continued to observe them. The scene was both heartwarming... and greatly depressing.
Was Rian doomed to remain in the stale bleak abyss of the unloved? Rotting in #foreveraloneness for all eternity? It seemed so. She didn't have anything else going for her.
Thoughts now dreary, she left the warmth of her mother's home and made her way out onto the freezing empty streets.

"Oh my God!"
"What the fuck!"
Sophie shielded her eyes from the two sweaty naked bodies lying tangled together in the hallway. Channa and Elizabeth never made it to the bedroom.
"I didn't know!" Sophie screamed, yanking her earbuds out from her ears. She hadn't heard them when she came in. She was too lost in the music and the randomness of her mind to immediately notice her friends finger banging on the floor.
Although, the scattered clothing would have shrieked warning signs if she had been paying attention. But she hadn't. And these were the consequences.
"Sophie, how did you get in here?" Channa huffed, not in anger. No way. She was still too in shock. Elizabeth, on the other hand, was already scrambling to her feet and running to Channa's room.
"I told you somebody would see!" She shouted in embarrassment before slamming the door.
Sophie held her hand smack over her eyes. "Rian left me her spare key, in case I needed a place to crash. I swear I didn't know what was happening!"
"Ugh!" Channa groaned, putting her own arm over her eyes in frustration. She let out a loud screech, "Rian, you cuntblocker!"
~•~•~ (meanwhile...)
Rian peered over her shoulder, seeing nothing. She wiggled a finger in her ear. "Did you hear something dad?"
Her father lazily turned the page of his gardening magazine. "Nope."
