“You ok baby?” Aston asked as he came into the bedroom.

“My back is killing me.” I sighed looking up at him.

“Do you want a massage of me?”

“No, it’s ok, I can’t lie anyway because of the bump, its fine, it should go away if I lie down.” I smiled up at him.

“Are you sure?”

“Positive.”

“Ok, let me go get a shower then I’ll come to bed.” he said, walking into the bathroom. I got off the bed and changed into my pyjamas then got into the bed, pulling the covers up to my chin so I was all warm.

“You look all snuggled.” Aston laughed once he finally returned from his shower.

“I’ll be all snuggled when you’re in here with me.”

“Aha, one second then, I’ll change then I’m all yours.” he smiled turning to walk to his dresser. Once he finally gotten ready, he got into bed next to me and pulled me closer to him.

“I can’t wait for the baby to come.” he whispered, kissing my nose.

“Neither can I, it needs to come out before my back breaks.” I laughed.

“Soon enough it’ll come.” he smiled.

“Soon enough can’t come quicker.” I responded making him laugh.

“Don’t worry, go to sleep baby.” he said, his laughter dying down.

“Ok, I love you.” I smiled, snuggling into his chest.

“I love you too baby girl.” he whispered, kissing my forehead once again.

I woke up the next morning much earlier than normal. It was still dark outside and the clock read 5:30. I slowly got out of bed, trying my hardest to not wake Aston up. After successfully getting out without waking him, I crept out of the room and downstairs so I could go into the kitchen. I made myself a cup of tea before setting it down onto the island and sitting on one of the stools. My back was hurting more than usual making everything I do uncomfortable. A little pain in my stomach made me gasp. Ouch. It was probably because of my back right? I chose to ignore it as I carried on drinking my tea, the sound of the clock ticking away in the background. Once my tea was finished, I got up to take my cup to the sink when a sharper pain went through my stomach making me tighten my grip on the cup I was holding. What was it with these pains? I walked the rest of the way to the sink when a larger pain shot through my stomach making me cry out in pain as I dropped the cup into the sink. “Shit.. ow” I cried bending down slightly and holding my stomach.

“Ow,” I cried again. “Aston!” I shouted, tightening the grip around my stomach and squeezing my eyes shut. “Aston!” I shouted again. Not long after, I heard someone running down the stairs; I looked up just In time to see Aston running into the kitchen.

“Shit, babe, what’s wrong?” he asked, running over to my and wrapping his arm around my waist.

“Pain.. stomach.. ow!” I gasped. A liquid running down my legs suddenly startled me and made me tense up.

“Alexis, what’s wrong?” Ast asked, his voice sounding panicked.

“I think my waters just broke.”

“Oh.. shit.. erm... come on, let’s get to you to hospital.” he panicked trying to get me to the car.

Once I was all strapped in we made our way to the hospital. My hands gripping my bump the whole way as the pains increased.

“We’re almost there babe, don’t worry.” Aston assured as we neared the hospital, his hand on my thigh, stroking it in a calming manner.

“Come on, let’s get you in.” he smile, after he’d opened the door for me to get out. After we told the receptionist what was happening, we were sent into a room where I’d be having the baby.

“This really hurts.” I cried looking up at Ast.

“I know baby, it’ll go soon.” he smiled, kissing my head as I gripped his hand.

After a long painful hour, loud, baby cries filled the room as I dropped back on the pillows letting go of Aston’s hand.

“You did it, you did it baby.” he grinned leaving forward and pressing his lips onto mine. I watched the nurses as they cleaned up our baby before wrapping it up in some clothes.

“It’s a boy, congratulations.” she smiled handing him over to me. I looked over at Aston to see him looking at his face, tears filled up in his eyes. I tore my gaze from his and looked down at the little boy in my arms. Just looking at his little face was clear whose baby it was…
