By the time I'm finished with the pathetic excuses for men, I stood face to face with none other than the rogue leader as the walls around us started to fall apart. When he finally decided to step out of shadows he came out with a smile. The smile of a coward, that's what that smile is.

"You're something special, you know that," he said smoothly, licking his lips with lust and anger in his eyes. "But you're not special enough to defeat what's coming for you and whoever tries to stop us from claiming you. I'll come back for you whether you like it or not."

Anger that wasn't mine flushed like a river through me and made me take action. I don't know who's anger it was, but it still made mee feel mad. I took my time as I began to walk toward him. And as I stood before T. there was this voice in the back of my head whispering, commanding, me to kill him, to torture him. Except before I was able to lay a finger on him screams filled the cave as its walls crumbled boulder by boulder.

This couldn't happen right now. I sneered at him. "I'll see you later," I promised in a sultry voice, leaving him in a dazed state while as I, on the other hand, got right into leader mode.

When I looked to make sure T. wasn't testing me by messing with the other women, I saw that he was already gone; ran out of the cave from a "secret" passage. Nice try.

I walked to the wide whole in the wall. "Follow me, and don't fall behind. The pregnant stays behind me with the children. Ladies, hold tight to the young pups and don't dare let go of them no matter what!" I instructed loudly. The women and children nodded and followed me.

Everyone held hands as I led them through the tunnel. It was so dusty that the ladies had to hold a hand to their mouths to keep them from coughing.

Once we got outside I raised my head and howled, the howl echoing everywhere. I may not be a werewolf, but I can still howl like one. Everyone coughed their lungs out, but, after checking to see if they were okay, I had to look to more urgent matters.

"The packs will be here in a couple minutes. Stay here," I instructed as I went back inside the cave. Someone was still in there. I let the sound of crying lead me to the source.

An unconscious pregnant woman was slumped on one side of the wall while the walls shook. She was still standing with the little girl next to her, but once the little girl saw me her eyes watered. "Mommy's hurt, please help!" she yelled over the rumbling of the collapsing rocks.

I bent to eye level with the little girl and smiled a warm smile. "It's all going to be okay, but I need to hold onto my arm as tightly as you can. You can do that, can't you?" I asked calmly.

She bit her trembling lip and nodded once, gathering herself up and latching onto my arm with a firm grip. I picked the pregnant woman up and we ran as fast as we could through the tunnel without falling. As if the cave knew we'd try to leave, the walls, at last, gave out to try and keep us there. And with each step we took, the rocks fell faster and faster behind us.

The woman opened her eyes and they widened in fear. "What's going on?" she questioned.

"Cave's falling," is the only thing I managed to say before I felt the shift beneath my feet.

Despite how fast we were running, we weren't fast enough. I saw it coming a slit second before it came. I quickly yet safely lay the woman on the floor and held up the boulder that would have smashed us.

"Run!" I yelled, clenching my teeth against the pain that exploded on my palms. Man, Zach just had to leave when we would have made such a good team at a moment like this. He's missing out on a lot. I'll have to text him.
