I ended up at Sonic in the end. Yeah, I was gonna go off on my own and find Zach, but then I'd thought, Hey, what good will running away do for me or the packs?

And that's how I found myself here.

Sure, me being with my family may put them in harms way, but that's what a pack is for; being there for each other even if it meant death. That's what I'd want someone else in my shoes to think.

And here I am, eating at a little Sonic, munching on Mozzarella Sticks and drinking from a Strawberry nerds slushy - so good, by the way - while ignoring every human there and walking by gawking at me.

Sometimes I forget how my "beauty" draws everyone's attention. Really, I personally don't care much about appearances, but more for personality.

I shove some French fries into my mouth and washed it down with a sip of the delicious strawberry-nerds slushy. Yum.

When I felt a guy walking my way I looked out the window to act as if I didn't see him.

A throat cleared. I looked up as if surprised to find him there. But man, was this one a hottie. Chin length blonde hair and light blue eyes, wearing no shirt to show a six pack and trunks that hung low, revealing a deep V-line. This was the ideal man for a girl.

I sip my drink again, munching on a nerd.

He flashed me a charming smile that would have made any girl faint.

Shoving more fries into my mouth.

"What's your name gorgeous?" he said, voice manly.

"Bella, and you?" I asked nicely.

"The name's Irvin, gorgeous, but you can call me whatever you want," he said smoothly, winking. "Can I get your number? I think we'd have a lot of fun."

Men. Ugh. I open my mouth to say something that wasn't really what he was expecting when a person cleared their throat. We both looked up. A girl with dyed pink hair and pink contacts on stood with a hip cocked and crossed arms, a glare pointed at us.

Irvin stood up in an instant, all smiles and "Hey, baby" as if he weren't just flirting with me, and, I'd like to point out, the fact that he was suggesting we hook up.

"Who the hell is this bitch?" she snapped, not meeting my eye. I could feel my blood run cold at the name.

Bitch, a word that I despised with everything in me.

"If you want to know who I am, then ask me yourself instead of depending on your damn boyfriend," I said sweetly, standing and grabbing my food and drink. She takes a step back.

Irvin laughed nervously. "She's just a friend," he said too quickly, giving her an innocent smile.

The girl flipped her hair. "Right, just like the last girl you were fucking was your friend," she spat.

I walked past them and said over my shoulder, "Well, I hope to never see you, Irvin."

"Who the hell is Irvin?" I heard her say as the door closed shut behind me.

I swear, some couples are just plain stupid.

Sniffing, I continue to walk where the smell of salt was strongest. The ocean; the second best place I love spending my time with Zach.

I sigh.

It doesn't feel the same here, but since he's left nothing's felt the same. With a shake of the head I focus back on the sparkling blue ocean.
