Chapter 14. Mistakes

After the bright yellow light dimmed away, Mavis fell to her knees panting. Fairy Glitter was a powerful spell and she was still not used the enormous amount of magic it required.

Zeref lay on the ground, looking at the sky with shock. His beat was beating fast and memories started to flood in. Memories of Mavis Vermilion. Memories of their young lives.

That's right, she was the reason why he learned Black Magic. He learnt it to protect her.

"M-Mavis?" Zeref stuttered, trying to stand on his feet. He then noticed the panting Mavis and ran over to her.

"Mavis? Are you alright?" Zeref asked, resting his hand on her shoulder. 

Mavis pushed him away and exclaimed, "Get away from me!" With that. she ran through the forest and hid under one of the huge roots of the Tenrou Tree. It started to rain and Mavis curled herself in a ball.

"It  was all a lie. He didn't care. He didn't love me at all." Mavis thought as the warm tears streamed down her face.

Meanwhile, Zeref ran through the rain looking for a certain blonde. He looked under bushes, trees, in animal nests..

"Where is she? Why was I so mean to her her? She was right. I shouldn't have learnt that magic. Someone kill me now."

Before you guys decide to kill me although you have you have right too let me just say, 

I'm so sorry!!!

I have honestly no idea why I haven't updated this golden book. I mostly likely assume that I was waiting for Hiro Mashima-san to reveal the true Zervis story.

My book ain't too far off the line but I hope all you reader who been supporting this from the beginning please forgive me.
