Dean's POV
He looked small.
Weak.
They just brought him back in the room from surgery when Dean and everyone else was allowed back. Chuck was sitting by his bed when the clan walked in, and he didn't look thrilled when he saw Alfie and Gabriel. He looked up at Dean, and frowned.
"Dean, right? Dean Winchester?"
"That's me."
"Why did you bring children with you?" Chuck asked, his tone was slightly harsh, but remained quite plain.
"I wanted them out of the house, in case Michael came back." Dean answered. He let his eyes wander back to where Cas was laying. He was breathing through an oxygen mask, and wires came from his arms, and some came from his chest. His head was wrapped in a white gauze that had small blots of pink on it. "Wouldn't want them to end up like Cas."
"You're his boyfriend, I presume?" Chuck questioned standing up.
Dean asserted his gaze back to Chuck and nodded. "Yeah, that'd be me. Do you have a problem with that?"
Chuck sighed. "No, Dean. I need you to stay here for a bit. I'll run the kids to their grandmother's."
"I wanna stay with Cas." Gabriel exclaimed, but with one look from Chuck he stopped arguing.
"Stay here, call me if something happens." Chuck said, he bent over and scooped Alfie in his arms. He heared everyon back down the hall, Sam included.
Dean followed them down the hall with his eyes before looking back to Cas. His skin had a sallow pigment to it, and his lips were swollen, a side effect of the anaesthesia. There were a lot of cuts on his face. He sat down in the chair that Chuck had been occupying, and pulled it a little closer to the bed.
"Hey, Angel." He murmured picking his hand up gently from the edge of the bed, and held it firmly between both of his own hands. Castiel's hand was heavy and limp, but his fingers twitched when Dean cupped them in his. "You know I love you, right?" He whispered slowly. He leaned down and kissed his cheek delicately. Dean was afraid that if he touched Cas too unexpectedly or rough, he would shatter into pieces like glass. "You can't leave me, alright?" Dean fell quiet and slumped further into his chair. He held tight to Castiel's hand and closed his eyes. "Promise you wont leave me."

Castiel's POV
"Okay. So this isn't real. No big deal. But how do I get home." Cas muttered unfer his breath to only himself. He carded his fingers through his hair. Dean would know what to do. His Dean would.
He sat back down on the edge of his imaginary bed. He pinched his arm, but he didn't wake up. He knew he wouldn't. He'd tried that trick four times. He didn't know how else to try waking up. He'd already tried blinking, crying for help, and praying, but nothing worked. When he screamed, no one had even answered, he blinked fine, and he never felt like his prayers were answered. Especially in a dream.
"Dean, please, help." He whispered softly. His phone started ringing on his bedside table and he jumped as he looked over at it. "That was freaky." He muttered as he picked up his cell. He narrowed his eyes at the caller ID. It said that Dean was calling but he sincerely doubted it would be the right Dean. He answered it anyways, just to be sure.
"So, you kinda hung up on me... I'm guessing you don't want me over for dinner?" Dean questioned, he sounded upset, and even if he wasn't the right one, it made Cas feel bad when Dean was upset.
