*Mackenzie's POV*
"I kind of feel bad for Simon. He can never seem to find the right girl." Tobi said, taking another bite of pizza. We had been here all day, and Simon just disappeared to talk to Emily. I just nodding in agreement. I honestly knew nothing about his love life. "Before Ally, it was girlfriend after girlfriend. He got a reputation as a player, but he wanted a long-term relationship, but he couldn't find the right girl. Then he found Ally, but none of us really liked her, but we were happy that he was happy. Now, I'm afraid he's back in the loop." Tobi explained. I listened to every word like it was the most intense part of a great book. "But him and Ally were together for a year. That must've been a good year for him, right?" I asked, my hands folded in front of me. "Oh yeah. I was kind of disappointed that it ended. But..." He said, looking around like someone might be listening. "The day after he broke up with her, I saw her at Nandos sucking some guy's face off. Don't tell Simon." He said quietly. I nodded. I could believe that she would do that. "Well...it's over." Simon said with a sigh as he walked back into the room. He sat down beside me on the couch and Tobi leaned forward in his chair to pat his knee reassuringly. "Sorry." I said, putting my hand on his shoulder. He looked at me, then at my hand, then back at me. I removed my hand reluctantly. He looked like he didn't want it there anyways. He grabbed a slice of pizza and leaned back, focusing on the movie in front of him. I was very disappointed when I heard that him and Emily were a thing, but I wasn't any happier that they were over. He looked upset. Very upset. Tobi watched the movie while I watched Simon. I watched how he ate his pizza, not looking very happy to be eating. I mentally sighed and looked at the television screen. Why was this bothering me so much? Tobi threw a pizza crust in an empty box and looked at Simon, running his hands together. "Who's ready for some FIFA to cheer him up?" He asked in a baby voice. A smile crept up on Simon's face and he nodded. They moved chairs so they were directly in front of the TV. I wasn't paying any attention to the game, I was either on my phone or laughing at how they yelled at each other constantly. After the game was over, I did look at the score, 5-4 to Simon. He looked like nothing had happened just an hour ago. "That save was ridiculous!" Tobi yelled, putting his hands in the air. Simon just smiled. Tobi put his head in his hands. "This is bullshit!" He mumbled, loud enough for us to hear. Simon patted his back. "Gonna cry about it?" He taunted. I smiled, the scene actually cheered me up quite a lot. Tobi raised his head and looked at me. "It's your fault!" He yelled, pointing at me. I giggled. "What did I do?" I questioned. "You didn't cheer him on." Simon said, pointing at Tobi. I rolled my eyes. "I didn't know I was supposed to pick a side." I said with a small laugh. "You were. My side." Tobi said, raising his hand. "No! Mine!" Simon said, putting his hand over Tobi's. They looked at me to pick. "I'm not choosing sides." I said with a laugh. "Fine. Rock Paper Scissors." Tobi said, looking at Simon. "For what? You lost. I won." Simon said with a please smile. "Oh yeah. I kind of forget what we were arguing about." Tobi said, putting his finger to his chin. We laughed. I actually had a lot more fun over there than I expected. They recorded two videos which took about two and hours from my visiting time, since I wasn't in them. It was getting late now, maybe eleven or so. So, Simon and I decided to leave. "I had fun." I said once Simon shut his door. He smiled. "Me too." He said. He seemed to have forgotten all about Emily, so I didn't dare bring it up. "Want to get something to eat?" He asked as he started the car. "We just had pizza." I said. "Well I'm still hungry, so I'm getting some McDonald's. So you can get some or not." He said with an exaggerating eye roll. "Be careful. Your eyes will get stuck like that." I said with a smile. He looked at me, then back at the road. "I've never heard that in my life." He said in a serious tone. I sighed. "My dad used to say it to me." I said, now looking at my lap. It was silent for a moment. "Do you miss him?" Simon asked. I didn't move my eyes from a spot on my jeans that looked like food. "N-No. I don't think so." I managed to get out past the lump in my throat. I didn't miss the beating and the raping, but maybe I did miss him. When I was really little, he didn't beat me. I guess he started once Josh and mom left, I don't really remember. Those days were great. We would watch it rain together, go for rides, watch movies. I was his 'little princess'. I wiped a tear that had formed in my eye. "I didn't mean to upset you." Simon said in a soft voice beside me. I looked up, kind of worried what my face looked like. "You didn't. I brought it up." I said, looking out the window. It was silent again. "Is it too late now to say sorry?" Simon asked, completely serious. I felt my lips curl into a big smile. "Yeah, I know that I let you down, is it too late to say sorry now?" I finished that part of the chorus in a serious voice. Simon chuckled. "You can't not forgive someone when they say sorry like that." Simon said. I nodded while laughing. We spent the rest of the ride home bantering about. Emily wasn't mentioned once, which I think we were both happy about.
