My day off. Sunday. Having a job is actually working really well. It's really tiring and can be boring every now and then, but it gives me something to do while all of the guys are busy. We were all in the living room now, just relaxing. I tried to sleep in today, but I was already used to waking up early. "Guess what is happening in a few weeks!" Vik yelled, making me jump. "Damn Vik! Chill." I said, holding a hand to my chest. "Sorry. But we are going to Boston!" He said excitedly. "I forgot that was happening this soon." Josh said. I sat up from laying down on the couch and yawned. "What's happening in Boston?" I asked, stretching. "PAX East. All of the pack is going to be there so you can finally meet them." Vik said excitedly. "How long will we be there?" I asked, sighing a little. "Probably about a week." Simon answered. I sighed. "That means I'll have to take off work." I said. "It'll be okay. Just tell what's his face that it's a family emergency." Josh said. "His name is Frank. And that won't work." I said, rubbing my eyes. "Why not?" Simon asked. "Because he told me yesterday to let him know the next time y'all come in there because his daughter is a fan. So when she watches those vlogs, he will find out eventually." I explained. "Really?" Vik asked. "Yeah. When I met her the other day she flipped out." I said with a smile. I had met a few fans of the guys in the streets and stuff when I was with them, but never when I was alone. They nodded. "Well, maybe we can make her promise to not show her dad." Josh said. I shrugged. "That could work." Simon said, putting his finger on his chin. "Yeah." Vik agreed. "So we go meet her tomorrow?" Simon asked them. They nodded. "We will have to call the guys, but I'm sure they'll be okay with it." Josh said. "You guys actually think you can convince her to keep it secret?" I asked. "Oh yeah. Like whenever we get hacked, we just promise them like a Skype call or a follow on Twitter or something." Vik said. I giggled and grabbed my phone out of my pocket. I scrolled through my contact until I got to Frank's. I pressed the call button. "Hello? Mackenzie? Is everything alright?" He asked when he answered. I heard the busy sounds of the kitchen in the background. I smiled. He was really nice. "Yeah everything's fine. I was just letting you know that I talked to the guys about meeting your daughter. They said they had time tomorrow to come in sometime." I said, looking at all of the guys. "Oh that's great! Riley will be so happy. Thank you so much!" He said enthusiastically. "Oh don't thank me. I'll see you tomorrow." I said. "Great. See you then." He said. I hung up and sighed. I really didn't want to go to work tomorrow, but I only just started the job. "I believe that you are not going to have this job for much longer." Simon said. "Nah." I said, shaking my head. "You should get your license." Josh said. "I agree. But I have to go stream so I'll talk to you later." Vik said, standing up and leaving quickly. "Okay then." I said, staring at his empty seat. "You should start practicing." Simon said. "Yeah. Then maybe you can pass your driving test before Ethan." Josh said. I giggled. "Why doesn't he have his license yet?" I asked. "He just wasn't born to be a driver." Simon said with a shrug. I sighed. Maybe they were right. I should get my license, but then I would need a car to drive. Just thinking about that makes me nervous. "Why do you always sigh like that?" Simon's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked up and saw that Josh was gone. "I don't know. I guess it's just to show how I feel I guess. Don't know." I said with a small shrug. He smiled a little and looked down, something I noticed he did a lot. Almost every time he smiled, he looked down. "Why do you always do that?" I asked him. He looked back up and his smile faded. "Do what?" He asked. "Look down when you smile." I said, staring into his eyes, trying to read them. "I don't know." He said, scratching the back of his neck. "Is it because you're shy?" I asked, not looking away. His eyes didn't remove themselves from mine either. "I don't know." He said with a small shrug. I felt myself leaning in, like my mind and body was taken over. All that existed anymore was him, his eyes, his smile, just him. His eyes flickered up and down my face. And we kissed. Again. The room faded and spun. All that mattered in that moment was his lips on mine. Us. His hands were in my hair in seconds. I put my hands on the back of his neck, pulling him closer. If that was even possible. I felt him smile into the kiss, breaking it. We pulled away together and our eyes met again. "You know....you were my first voluntary kiss." I said, smiling. He chuckled and looked down, but quickly looked back up. "That's not the first time that has happened. Is it?" A voice from the doorway made us jump away from each other quickly. Dammit. It was Josh. I looked at him and he had the biggest smirk on his face. "You guys are something else." He said, shaking his head. "How long have you been standing there?" Simon asked, his face red. I'm sure mine was matching in color. "Long enough." He said, running a hand through his hair. Simon and I were quiet and awkwardly glanced at each other occasionally. "Why don't you two just get together already?" Josh asked, leaning against the doorframe. I looked over at Simon, who waited for me to answer. "I-I don't know." I said, looking for the right words. "Mackenzie Zerker, will you be my girlfriend?" Simon asked me, smiling and looking right at me for once. I glanced at Josh, who nodded. "Simon Minter, I would love to." I said, smiling. "It's about fucking time!" Josh yelled, clapping. Simon hugged me tightly. I couldn't stop smiling. Maybe things will get better now. I thought about it as Simon and I held each other. Things will definitely get better.
