"No way!" I heard a voice coming towards me through the hall. Two sets of footsteps, though. "C'mon! It'll be a good way to get over Ally!" I heard Josh's voice that time. "I don't need help getting over her. I'm already over her." The second voice said, Simon I'm assuming. Soon, Josh and Simon emerged in the doorway. "Let's ask Mackenzie what she thinks." Simon said, pointing at me on the couch. "What do you think about is having a night out tonight?" Josh asked, sitting beside me on the couch. "Do what you want." I said with a shrug. "Simon doesn't want to though! He's being a butt!" Josh whined. "Then he doesn't have to go." I said, moving my eyes back to my book in my lap. "But it's no fun without him." Josh said, taking my book so I was forced to look at him. "That's gay." I said, trying to reach for my book. "Nah shut up! It's not!" Josh said, crossing his arms. I rolled my eyes and snatched my book away from him. I have been in the house for about a week and I've enjoyed it, but they can be a bit too much at times. "Just tell him that he should go and I'll leave you alone." Josh pleaded. I looked at him then up at Simon. "You should go and have fun." I said with a fake smile. "I don't want to though." He said with a sigh. "Why not?" I asked, sitting up a little more. "Just not in the mood." He said with a shrug. I turned to Josh. "Just go with Vik and with anyone else who wants to go. You can have fun without Simon." I said, putting a hand on his back. "Fine. But you two don't have too much fun while we're gone." He said, standing up and smirking. "That won't be a problem." I said and looked back at my book. "What do you want to do?" Simon asked after Josh left. "He hasn't even left the house yet an you're bored already?" I asked, deciding I couldn't read with him in hear and putting my book away. "I'm not bored. I have videos to edit if I were bored." He said. I nodded. I got on my phone pretended like I was doing something important. I was not looking forward to be here alone with Simon.
*Simon's POV*
I watched her intently as she did something on her phone. Maybe I should go out. She didn't seem like she wanted me here, but I really didn't want to go anywhere tonight. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I got it out and stared blankly at the screen. It was Ally. Why the hell was she calling me? I answered it anyways. "Hello?" I asked into the phone. I saw Mackenzie's eyes flick up at me before going back to her phone. "Simon." Ally said. "Yes?" I asked, trying to sound annoyed. "I miss you." She said in a quiet voice. I was honestly over Ally. I didn't want her back. "Not my problem." I said bluntly. She was quiet, so I hung up. Now, Mackenzie was looking at me. "Ally." I said with a shrug. She nodded and looked at her lap. She was so beautiful. "Guys!" I heard Josh yell from the door way. We both looked up at him. He was dressed with Vik dressed behind him. "We are going out. Freya's meeting us there with some of the other guys. We will keep in touch." He said before leaving. Vik gave us a small wave before following Josh. "What do you want to do now?" I asked her. She shrugged and stood up. She stretched a little before grabbing her book and walking out of the room. I followed her. "Do you want to record with me?" I asked when we were halfway up the stairs. "Probably not." She said with a small sigh. "Then what do you want to do?" I asked her as she opened her bedroom door and stepped inside. I followed her and watched her out her book on her desk. I laid down on her bed and stared up at the ceiling. I heard her sigh. "What do you want to do?" She asked after a moment. "Whatever you want." I said, perking up. I sat up quickly and looked at her. "I want food." She said with a small smile. I chuckled. "We could go to Nandos?" I suggested. "I don't know what that is, but I'm down if it's food." She said as she sat down beside me on the bed. "It's the best food ever." I said as I turned my body to face her. "Are you exaggerating? Because I will be very disappointed if you are." She said with a small smile. "I would never exaggerate about Nandos." I said as I stood up. She looked up at me. "When are we leaving?" She asked. "Now." I said. She sighed and stood up. "Let's go then." She said, taking a step towards me. "Ready?" I asked, taking a small step backwards. "As I'll ever be for food." She said with a shrug an a smile. I turned around and walked out. I heard her footsteps behind me. We walked in silence all the way to the car. "What time will Vik and Josh be back?" She asked, buckling her seatbelt. "Probably like two." I said with a. Shrug and buckled my own seatbelt. I put my glasses on and looked at her. She was looking at me and smiling. "Can I help you?" I asked with a small laugh as I started the car. "No." She said with a straight face. "That's not creepy." I said jokingly. She looked away and out the window and I pulled out of the driveway. "Your face looks good." I told her, meaning her bruises that were almost completely faded away. She snorted. "You're not too bad yourself." She said, punching my arm playfully. I chuckled. "You know what I mean." I said, focusing my eyes on the road. "I like hanging out with you." I said, kind of talking to myself. "Why?" She asked. I gripped the steering wheel tighter and glanced at her. She was looking out the window still. "I dunno." I said quickly. It was silent. It was silent for a while. There was nothing that needed to be said, so we didn't say anything. Soon, we were at Nandos. "We are here." I said as I turned the key. She looked over at me an nodded. She unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the car door slowly. I copied her actions, but a little faster than she had. I waited for her to walk around the car so we could walk together. "I'm so hungry." She said as we walked inside. "Me too." I said, holding my stomach. We sat down in a booth and looked at the menus. I already knew what I wanted, but I acted like I didn't spend half of my life here. "What are you getting?" She asked, looking at me over her menu. "I dunno yet." I lied, looking back at the menu in my hands. "Well I'm trusting you to order for me. I have no idea what half of this shit is." She said, looking back at the menu confused. She closed it and put it beside her. "Are you allergic to anything?" I asked, closing my menu. "Nope." She said, looking around the room. I watched her. "Are you?" She asked, meeting my eyes again. I shook my head and she nodded. She looked away again and looked around the room some more, taking in the decor. I hated that. I hated how easy it was for her to look away from my eyes. I could hardly bring myself to look into hers, but she did it without any hesitation. I have to admit that I have feelings for her, but by the looks of it, she's not interested. That's the reason I didn't want to go out, I wanted to be with her. She just so beautiful and funny an just perfect. I watched her every movement. The way her eyes darted around the room, stopping at certain things. The way she toyed with her fingers when she looked nervous, like se was doing now. What is this girl doing to me? I've never had these kind if feelings before, not even with Ally. Ally and I were together for a long time, and I loved her, but for a while, it just felt like she was my friend, not girlfriend. I remember that I tried to break up with her before, and she just begged me to get back together with her, so I did. These feeling were different for Mackenzie, stronger maybe. Maybe I should just move on from Mackenzie, I don't think she has feelings for me anyways. Maybe I could try again with Ally, try a little harder to love her like I should. Whatever I do, it can't be with Mackenzie.
