Chapter 16

Simon, Josh, Vik, and I are all sitting in the living room watching a ridiculous movie that no one is actually paying attention to. It's mostly just for background noise as we talked about random, stupid things. The whole 'me being in the Sidemen' thing blew over in a week. With the help of all of the guys uploading a video about it, of course. "I have an announcement to make." Vik said loudly after we all stopped laughing at one of his stupid puns. "I'm going to America in a couple of days." He said with a nod. We were quiet and we all just stared at him. "I'm actually going to Texas to see Preston. Dallas, Texas. (I'm pretty sure that's where he lives. If it's not, tell me what it is so I can change it! Thanks.)" he said with a smile. "Good. I'm getting tired of you." I said jokingly. "Why you hating on me?" He said in his Sheffield accent. "I'm joking." I managed to say through my laughter. "When are you leaving?" Simon asked with a chuckle. "Day after tomorrow." He said with a shrug, scratching the back of his neck. "That's when I'm leaving!" Josh said, putting his hand in the air. "You're leaving too?" I asked, giving him my attention. "Yeah. Freya and I are going to Germany for a week." He said with a smile. I looked at Simon. "I'm going to be stuck with him for an entire week?" I asked, rolling my eyes and looking back at Josh and Vik. "The whole week." Josh said with a smirk. "I'm going to be bored as fuck." I said, leaning back on the couch I was sitting on. "Me too! These guys are a big part of our recording sessions. I'm going to have to make videos when they do. So then I won't have any I need to record for the week." Simon said with an exaggerated sigh. "I believe we can make it through." I said, pointing to the ceiling. "What are we going to do all week?" He asked. "We can go visit the other guys. You can introduce me to this 'Caltripod' guy. We can record Q&As and stuff." I said. "You've only been in a few videos. Are you sure you're ready for a montage?" He asked. I nodded. It's been about a month since we recorded that first Q&A, since then I've been in other people's Q&As or challenge videos, but no 'football' videos. "You guys will have plenty to do." Josh said. "Yeah. Mackenzie can clean and Simon can shop for things for the house." Vik said, pointing at us. "Haha very funny. I'm basically a house wife already." I said sarcastically. That was true. While the guys were recording or editing or off doing some meet and greet, I was stuck here with nothing to do. So, I cleaned and did their laundry or cooked or did something to make time pass. The guys chuckled because they knew it was true. "I can say ever since you've been here, my laundry is always done." Josh said. I smiled. "You are very welcome for that." I said with a nod. "It's like she's the mom of the house." Vik said. We all just stared at him with raised eyebrows. "Get it? Cuz Josh is daddy af." He said, pointing to Josh. "Oi! We're not in Guernsey." I said, pointing to Vik. They laughed and I smiled. "Let's play truth or dare." Simon said randomly. "How did we go from daddy af to truth or dare? 0 to 100 real quick." Josh said with a grin. "Mackenzie. Truth or Dare?" Simon said, completely ignoring Josh. "Dare." I said with a nod. "I dare you to...." He said, looking a round the room. "Take some shots." He finished with a smirk plastered on his face. "That's illegal." I pointed out. "The legal drinking age here is 18 we are only a couple months away." He said with a smile. "I don't even have an ID from here." I said with an eye roll. "Yeah...we should probably change that." Josh said. Simon got up and left the room. "We could do that tomorrow." Vik suggested. Josh nodded. Simon came back into the room with shot glasses and a bottle of some alcohol. "I'm really doing this?" I asked, taking a shot glass from his hands. "Unless you want to pussy out..." He said before opening the bottle. I rolled my eyes as he opened it. The strong smell immediately hit me. He filled the glass up and smirked at me. "How many do I have to do?" I asked, smelling it, making me cough. "Two." He said, handing me another full one. "You know you don't have to do this." Josh said, putting a hand on my shoulder. "I know." I said, staring at the glasses. "If it makes you uncomfortable, you don't have to." Simon said with an apologetic look. Before anyone could say anything else, I downed the first glass. Then the second one. It was so strong, I almost puked. But instead, I just coughed and scrunched up my face. The guys chuckled. "Why did you make her do that?" Vik asked Simon. "I don't know. Experiment." He said, smirking. I rolled my eyes. "More?" He asked, holding up the bottle. "No. Fuck off." I said, pushing the bottle away from me. Josh applauded. "Good job! Way to say no!" He said, dragging out his words like I was three. I smiled and we continued the game.

     "Vik, Truth Or Dare?" I asked, smirking. "Truth." He said with a firm nod. "Ohh...you're no fun." I said with a hiccup. Okay...maybe I did end up having more to drink. "Do you have a girlfriend?" I asked after thinking about it for a moment. "No." He said and shook his head. I rolled my eyes. "Your turn."

*Simon's POV*

     "Your turn." She said to Vik with another hiccup. She was so drunk that it was funny. She drank an entire bottle, her first time drinking. I knew it would be interesting, but I didn't think she'd get drunk from drinking the entire thing. All of us guys hadn't drank at all, but we were absolutely taking the piss out of Mackenzie's slurred words and zoning out. "Mackenzie, Truth or Dare?" Vik asked. She put her finger to her chin. "Truth." She finally said while smiling. "Who's your favorite Sideman?" He asked. "Umm...me, obviously." She said, flipping her hair. "You're not in the Sidemen." Josh said with a small laugh. "Are too." She argued, pointing at him. "Okay...who besides you?" Vik asked with a laugh. "Umm..." She said as she looked around the small circle we formed on the floor. "Simon." She finally said, pointing at me. "Why me?" I asked with a smirk. "Cause you're the cutest." She said, poking my shoulder. "After me, of course." She said and flipped her hair again. She yawned then looked back at us, trying hard to focus her eyes. "I think it's time for bed." Josh said, grabbing her hands and trying to get her to stand up. "Why?" She asked, standing up too fast and grabbing her head. I stood up too and grabbed her arm. "We have a big day tomorrow." Vik said, standing up too. "What's tomorrow?" She asked with another hiccup. "You're getting an ID." Josh reminded her. She nodded and walked towards the door way. Josh let go of her hands and looked back at me and Vik. "You got her? I'll get her some tablets for tomorrow." He said, turning towards the kitchen. "I really need to go take a piss." Vik said when we reached the bottom of the stairs. "Go. I've got her." I said, pointing up the stairs. He wasted no time and sprinted up the stairs, disappearing into the bathroom. I looked at Mackenzie and she was already looking back at me. She smiled and started walking up the stairs. I supported her as she walked with most of her weight on me. "Thank you." She said, leaning her head on me while we walked. "For what?" I asked with a small chuckle. "For the best night of my life." She said and closed her eyes. I shook her lightly. "Don't go to sleep yet. You're rooms right here." I said, opening her door. She walked in an plopped down on her bed. She laid on her back and put her hands behind her head. "You don't want to lay on the pillows?" I asked her with a small laugh. Her eyes remained shut. So I picked her up and put her head on the pillows and the blankets on top of her. Josh walked in and put the tablets on her bedside table with a glass of water. "She's going to have fun in the morning." He said as he walked out. I smiled to myself as I went to my own room. Suddenly, I was really tired. As soon as my head hit the pillow, my eyes closed.
