There was a knock on the door. Mackenzie sighed before pulling away. She walked slowly to the door. As she opened it, people piled in. "What the hell is going on?" Freya asked, the first one that came in. Everyone was here. "What the fuck Simon? What was that about?" Vik asked. Elissa was quiet, and looked at the floor. Everyone stared at us, waiting for an explanation. "Simon....have you been crying?" Tobi asked, squinting at me. I looked down at the floor, wiping my eyes quickly. I looked back up, all eyes on me. "Did you guys just break up?" Josh asked, taking a small step forward. I looked at Mackenzie, who shook her head and giggled. "Everything is fine." She said, taking a step closer to me. I put my arm around her waist to prove it. "Then what happened last night?" Vik asked. "Oh yeah. What did happen last night? Josh said you called and sounded upset." Harry spoke up, looking at Mackenzie. Mackenzie looked at me, then at the floor. "Someone start talking. I don't like this awkwardness." Ethan said, chuckling. "Elissa....this is your room." JJ pointed out. Elissa sighed and took a step towards us, turning around to face everyone else. "Last night Mackenzie came into my room crying. Vik went to stay with Simon. Then she told me what happened with Simon being lost and that she found him...." She glanced at me before continuing. "...kissing another girl." She said. All eyes turned towards me. "Is that where you disappeared to? To go cheat on Mackenzie?" Josh asked, getting angry. "Josh it's okay. He was drunk. And he apologized." Mackenzie said, leaving my side and taking an unsure step towards him. "Is that why you were crying?" Tobi asked. I slowly nodded. "You cried over a girl? You've never done that." JJ said, stepping in front of everyone. I looked down at the floor again. "Okay then. As long as everyone's happy, I'm happy." Josh said with a sigh. "Okay we can do this again later but we have to get ready. Day two of PAX starts in half an hour. And we still have to she up the booth." Ethan said. That made everyone shuffle out of the room, including me and Mackenzie.
I sighed in relief as I plopped down on the couch. It was finally over. Don't get me wrong, I love meeting all of the fans and spending time with the other Sidemen, but it's just so exhausting. "Night out again?" Josh asked, smirking. "Oh hell no." I said, making them laugh. Mackenzie sat down on the floor beside Freya and Elissa, who decided to come today. "I'm hungry though." Harry said. "Same." Mackenzie said, grabbing her stomach. "Where do we want to go?" JJ asked. We all turned our head towards the girls, who were now having their own conversation. "Ladies." Ethan said, snapping. They looked at us. "Where do you want to go to eat?" Tobi asked them. "I don't care." Mackenzie said shrugging. "That is the biggest lie a girl has ever told." I said, pointing at her. "I'm not lying. I really don't care. As long as it's not seafood." She said, putting her hands up in defense. "You don't like seafood?" Vik asked. She shook her head and scrunched up her face. "You and Simon are literally the perfect couple." Freya said, nudging her with her elbow. I smiled and everyone looked between us. "Seriously though, food." Josh said, standing up. "We could order pizza at the hotel. I really don't feel like going anywhere." Elissa said, standing up. "I'm down." Vik said. "Me too." I said, leaning forward with my elbows on my knees. "Pizza it is." JJ said, standing up. We all slowly got our things together and left. "Oi! Dinner tonight?" A voice yelled behind us. I turned around to see Lachlan running towards us, the Pack following behind slightly slower. "We are just ordering pizza." Mackenzie said, walking backwards to face them. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it. She returned a squeeze and smiled. Lachlan reached Mackenzie's side, so we turned back around. "Are we welcome?" He asked, nodding towards the rest of the guys behind him. "All but Preston." I said, smirking. "Hey! That's not very fudging nice." Preston said, appearing beside me. "I'm joking." I said, chuckling. "We can eat in my room!" JJ yelled as we walked outside. It was a little cold, but not as cold as it has been. "I don't like the cold." Mackenzie said, putting her free hand across her chest. I let go of her hand and put my arm around her, pulling her closer to me. "Me neither. Simon is the only one here that is used to the cold. We three might as well live in hell." Lachlan said, pointing to himself, Preston, and Mackenzie. She smiled. "That is true." "So Mackenzie, whereabouts in Texas did you live?" Preston asked, looking at his feet. "South East. A few hours away from Dallas." She said. He nodded. "I live in Australia, if anyone cared." Lachlan said. "No one cares." Mackenzie said, sighing. Lachlan made a hurt look. "I'm joking." She said, smiling. "I've always wanted to go to Australia." Mackenzie said, looking at the ground. "You definitely should come visit one day. It's beautiful." Lachlan said, looking up into the sky. We then walked in silence, all the way to the hotel. It wasn't awkward, it was just all of us in our own thoughts.
"Pizza!" JJ yelled over everyone, carrying boxes towards us. He set them down on the table. He shared a room with Harry. They had two beds and it was bigger than mine and Mackenzie's room, so it could fit all of us comfortably. Even if some of us were sitting on the floor. We passed out the pizza, each getting what they wanted. I took a seat on the floor next to Mackenzie, leaning against the wall. Everyone was kind of having their own conversations. I looked at Mackenzie, who was too busy eating to realize I was looking at her. I nudged her with my elbow. "What?" She asked past a mouthful, looking up at me. I chuckled. "Hungry?" I asked, smirking. She rolled her eyes. "Fucking starving." She said, giggling. I liked this. We were back to our old selves again. We weren't arguing and it wasn't awkward. Even after what I did, she forgave me. I felt a weight on my shoulder and looked down. She rested her head on my shoulder, her pizza halfway gone. "That's bullshit!" JJ yelled, making us all look at him. He was having a conversation with Mitch and Jerome about something, and apparently they disagreed on something. "No it isn't!" Jerome yelled, putting his hands in the air. "I have to agree with JJ on this one." Mitch said. "But Merome?!" Rob yelled, pointing at them. Mitch put his hands in the air defensively. "What are they arguing about?" Mackenzie whispered. "I have no idea." I whispered back, still watching them. They returned to their conversation, but not yelling. "Probably football." Mackenzie said, taking another bite. "Did you just say football?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. She had always said soccer and corrected us when we said football. "I did. What is wrong with me?" She asked, smiling. "I don't know but if it's contagious, go away." I said, shrugging my shoulder that she was leaning on. She didn't budge but she giggled. She finished her pizza and then fell asleep quickly. The room had grown quieter because I'm sure everyone was quite tired. I finished my pizza before picking her up bridal style. She woke up barely and snuggled into my chest. "Can someone get the door?" I asked, walking towards them. "I'll walk with you. I've got to go to my room anyways." Freya said, opening the door. I nodded and we walked quietly down the hall, towards the elevators. "Where's Josh?" I asked, being sure to keep my voice low. "He is already at the room. He was so tired." She said, shaking her head. I nodded. "You know, you guys are a very cute couple." She said, looking at Mackenzie, then at me. I smiled. "I know."
