Chapter 22 - Time For Flying

I was up on Toothless in the sky i looked at my wooden sundile watch. It was 2.55 pm.

I was not late today i must not be so i flew down to the saddle shop/

"He dad need 4 normal saddle for today thanks bye", I took 4 saddles from the workbench mid flight then flew back up to go to the academy.

I lay the saddles down next the to wall. Then there was a screech.

Before looking around i knew it was Astrid.

"Hey good luck with the lesson today.",She said getting of Stormfly which was now playing with Toothless.

"Thanks i am really going to need luck", I replied untangling the straps on the saddles.

"Need help?", Astrid asked sitting down next to me.

I nodded then she started laying out the saddles and untangling.

Mom walked in with Cloudjumper walking beside her.

"Hey MOm oh how is the plans and i am so sorry i could'nt come to plan but i promise i will next time", I said to her.

"Dont worry i had some good fun planning this so here", She said handing me the paper.

I looked at it and studied it so i knew what i was teaching here.

Cloudjumper sat next to me and Toothless and him both snuggled into me.

I put my arms around there necks then i got lifted up by Cloudjumper as he lifted me and Toothless up with he strength.

Me and Mom laughed hard then I got me and Toothless back down after some neck rubs.

Then i saw the students walk in beside there dragons.

"So welcome back guys. How where your dragons and one by one please", I said softly.

"Hookfang has been fine he has been a good boy i guess keeping it cool", SNotlout said.

"Emm well Meatlug has been a really good girl. She likes her neck rubs and likes to cuddle at night", Fishlegs said cuddling Meatlug.

"Well our dragons have been good we played and ruthhoused with them alot", The twins said at the same time creepily as there dragons were joint.

"Good well then today we are going to fly your dragons for the first time so here", "I am first going to teach you how to get your saddles on it is pretty simple actually".

I walked over to Meatlug. I turned her over to her side by using the old neck rub trick the lifted her up a little bit then put the saddle on then strapped it with the buckles fitting the size of her tummy.

"Easy peasy you try Snotlout", I said.

He put the saddle on and strapped it like child's play as i had.

Then i looked at the twins they had already put there's on.

Right follow me.

Astrid and mom and there dragons followed to.

I took them to the cliff on the paper. 

"Right get on your dragons", I said getting onto Toothless.

"Right so we are going to around the mountains dodging tree island them turning around and coming back. Easy am i right?", I said to them with no reply,"I will just show you, Come on bud".

We flew on track we went around the mountains dodging tree island then spun around and came all the way back.

"SNotlout you first", I said as he got on.

Snotlout used his dragon's horns for handles and sat up on his saddle properly.

Snotlout did pretty well but accidently banged into one mountain. 

Fishlegs went next he was pretty slow but didnt bang into any mountains.

Then it was the twins the were pretty clumpsy as they banging into 3 mountains and fought at the end of it.

I clapped.

"Well done that was your first flight and all .... well some of you did well", Mom Said.

"Yeah nice job we will see you next time and we will practice more flying and for now i want to say i want to see you all flying your dragons every morning other wise they wont like you at all. And trust me it is pretty fun flying.", I said then flew of in the clouds as i heard them wow at Toothless flying so fast.
