Merry Christmas guys!! I'm sorry for the wait. I was going to update last week my mother had a virus and I unfortunately caught it. I'd like to shout out three very persistent readers. Dizzy8pancakes,YumiUchiha1123and FoxDelgado for drilling me for an update. I really appreciate the enthusiasm and the buzz surrounding this story. I figured a long chapter would be a nice present for the day instead of breaking it up because I'm enjoying this ride as much as you guys. Enjoy!

"It's a really beatiful day today." You commented as you looked at the clear blue skies your hand shielding your eyes from the sun's gentle glow.

'Ugh! Why am I talking like Alex? Oh well, he seems to get along with her so I guess it wouldn't hurt to act sickly sweet.'

Judging by Nicolas pure unadulterated look of disdain his lips as tight as a wip. His continued silence as he pushed your wheelchair along the tan colored cobblestones leading to the infamous shop. Where you both first met without a single word. You could say that so far this was an epic fail.

It was the same face he made over breakfast this morning. When Alex sat next to you on the couch showing every sign possible that she was anxious to ask Nicolas something. Her sapphire orbs glued to her red dress pulling it down repeatedly.

In some ways you where happy. You hoped that her dangerous proposition would never leave her mouth. Which meant that you didn't have to spend an entire day with a mysterious nutcase.

He wore a form fitting black shirt that suppressed his ripped chest and a brown pair of pants sitting on the desk eating his strips of bacon while crossing his legs reading yet another book in his hand.

'I still can't believe he reads books. And he's reading a classic at that he has good taste.' You thought inwardly reading has been your passion ever since you could remember.

Before you knew it you caught yourself staring at him. Worrick sat on the window sill seeing the pathetic spectacle he tossed a fork at Nicolas and cleared his throat.

He caught the fork and looked up from his book.

"Nicolas, Alex wants to ask you something." Worrick stated.

Nicolas directed his gaze to the back of Alex's head.

'She told Worrick about this!? I know they both stay in the same room but that does not mean she should squeal about it. Is anything private in this house!'Your cheeks instantly inflamed as you glance at her. She winced and mouthed a 'sorry I had to.'

You glared at her as she took a deep breath. She turned around and smiled awkwardly big.

"I know I was supposed to go out with you to give out the prescriptions but I can't because of.... ummm..."

She trailed off tucking a strand of raven hair behind her ear trying to search for the right words under Nicolas's steady gaze.

"Connie needs her advice on store decorations and she was going to try her new soup with Marco." Worrick interjects once more.

"Y-Y-Yeah what he said." She chimed in.

He moves his hands and was about to read until he noticed Worrick lips move again in the corner of his eye.

"You don't have to go alone take the princess with you. She hasn't had a tour of Ergastulum yet and she's been living here for weeks now."

Nicolas slowly looked up shooting him a death glare from across the room. He started signing so aggressively it intrigued you to know what he was saying.
