You spent the next day simply laying on the bed facing the window.

You didn't get in your wheelchair to do your morning routine. You didn't get dressed. You didn't do anything with your hair. You just laid there.

Alex came in offering porridge. You watched the stream from the bowl of porridge touch your skin leaving a mist of perspiration on your cheeks. You could smell the sweet aroma of heated granules but your stomach didn't feel hungry. It felt pretty full to be perfectly honest and the idea of eating made Y/N nauseous.

You didn't look at the food placed next to your face on the bed or at Alex's expectant gaze placed on her friend to eat.

The minutes dragged on and you honestly don't want to eat but once Alex gave you those puppy dog eyes and a sad frown. You found yourself shoveling the stuff into your mouth puffing your cheeks out.

You sat there for a while with a mouthful of food. You could see her sad reaction didn't change so you decide to swallow it causing her to smile.

"Come on, eat up so we can play the game."

'Ohhh, that's why she's here.' You forgot about the game not in any sort of playful mood since learning that Nic has died.

You figured that out while swallowing the spoons of porridge not bothering to savor the taste. You could tell that it filled a stomach that felt full because it was full of anxiety. You couldn't calm your heart rate and while the two of you played the game with Alex's face remaining expressionless and you not even trying to hide the depression sprawled out on your face.

You both could feel the huge elephant in the room the one symbolizing Nicolas Brown's untimely death but it seemed like Alex was doing her best to ignore it.

Once the game was over you didn't bother demanding for another round and neither did Alex she put the game pieces and the cardboard placement in its case. She walks towards the door and says. "I'm gonna make your favorite food tonight for dinner. I figure you're probably not all that hungry for lunch."

"Ok." You responded she gave a stiff smile and closed the door as you turned on your side away from it.

You got into your chair to use the bathroom but other than that you just stayed there the whole time not moving an inch.

You sat up to eat dinner when Alex brought your soup on the tray. She offered to help you in doing your night time routine but you declined no amount of soap and water could wash away the filthy feeling of guilt from your mind.

'I killed Nicolas, it's all my fault. I don't deserve to eat or play games like nothing freaking happened.'

The days seemed to drag on Alex brought you breakfast per usual. She tried to make conversation and you gave her as many words as you could suffice.

"I'm learning how to do my makeup today."

"That's great Alex."

"I saw Worrick trip going down the steps yesterday."

"So funny Alex."

"I almost slipped and put a whole bottle of oregano in the pot of tomato soup for dinner last night."
