Chapter 20: Hello, It's Me...

I was on the couch at the Burrow, a pencil in my hand. Staring down blankly at the assignment from Slughorn, I gave a cry of distress. How was I supposed to do this!? I don't happen to have a cauldron with me, nor do I just happen to have a slug brain in my pocket.

Slughorn decided, apparently, that it would be fun to create the Draught of Living Death.

"Hey, George?" I called out. He was in the kitchen, eating one of his mom's treacle tarts.

"Huh?" He replied, his mouth stuffed, coming over to me.

He swallowed what was in his mouth and plopped down next to me, covering himself with the red fleece blanket that I was using.

"Do you guys have any slug brains?"

"No... You can only find the kind for the Draught of Living Death in Austria."

I groaned. "I don't know why Slughorn wants us to do this... Besides, this potion won't help me at all if I'm going to become a Healer..."

George shrugged. "I honestly don't know what to say... We could always go on an adventure to Austria."

I rolled my eyes. "That'd be fun, but not in this time we're in... It might be dangerous..."

He lay his head on my shoulder; I put my school stuff on the coffee table across from me.

"So why exactly did you get suspended?"

I sighed. "Well, I got very pissed at Dumbledore, and..."

I proceeded to tell him what happened. By the end, his mouth was agape.

"He wanted you to become a Death Eater?"

I nodded my head. "I kept telling him no, and... I think he won't put me in his will now."

"His will? He isn't going to die soon, right?" George asked, fear in his chocolate brown eyes.

I quietly replied, "I think he is, George."

It was silent for a moment until I told him something else. "And... I think that Hogwarts is going to be different next year. Something is going to happen... I can feel it..."

He pulled me close to him and looked me in the eyes.

"Even if it does, I will never, ever let anything happen to you."

"I won't let anything happen to you."

I took him by surprise and kissed him on the lips; after a moment he gave in and kissed me back.

It soon became a passionate kiss, and I shall forever thank god that nobody else was home, because it got pretty heated.

Let's just say it ended up with George on top of me with his shirt off, and me underneath him with my T-Shirt hanging off my shoulder; we were both still under the fleece though.

In a turn of events, I suddenly made a move and he ended up below me and I on top of him. I lay my head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around me. We both fell into a peaceful state of bliss- until Fred decided to come and ruin it.

"HELLO, IT'S ME!" Fred yelled out, causing George to pout.

"But I was having fun," George whined, causing me to roll my green eyes.

"Hello from the other side! I must have called a thousand times!" Fred cried out again, obviously looking to see if anybody was home.

"But when I call you never seem to be home," he grumbled.
