Madison Potter and the Half Blood Prince
A Valentine's Day Special
I was sitting down on the bed in me and George's house, wearing an old pair of sweatpants and one of my practice shirts for Quidditch with the Hollyhead Harpies.
Ginny and I, of course, were both on the Hollyhead Harpies. It was always a field day on that team.
Since neither of us decided to return to Hogwarts for our final year, we were immediately offered positions as chasers on the team. We accepted those jobs right when they offered.
I've been playing with the Harpies for a good two years now, and George and I were married for three of those years.
At this moment in time, we were in our off season. Our last game- the World Cup, mind you, that we won- was in the middle of November. We started practice up again in the middle of March.
I was reading a book when George came in wearing a pair of sweats and a shirt that had my number on it (7) and our last name on it (Weasley). He was carrying a heart shaped box and I had a feeling I knew what it was.
He sat down on his spot of the bed and I put down the book I was reading and looked over at him, a big smile on my face.
"Happy Valentine's Day, love," George smiled at me, kissing me on the cheek.
"Thank you, Georgie," I replied, kissing him on the cheek.
He handed me the pink heart shaped box and I opened it up. There was chocolate in there. I picked up one and put it in my mouth. It was milk chocolate. I picked up another one and when George wasn't paying attention, I shoved it in his mouth. He happily ate it.
I put the lid back on the box and put it on my nightstand.
I began to pull something out of the cubby in the nightstand.
"You didn't have to get me anything," George told me, kissing my ear.
"You didn't have to get me anything," I sassed back. "Besides, I think that you will like this way more than you liked the chocolate I shoved in your mouth."
"How do you know that?" He sassed me back.
I turned around, a heart shaped box in my hands. I gave it to him and he opened it.
His hazel eyes went wide, and he gave me a look of excitement, confinement, and amazement all in one.
"What? How did this happen?" He asked me, gobsmacked.
I smiled. "Well on November 14th, the day that we won the World Cup, I remember that we both celebrated... In ways that would make Harry want to kill you..."
"Oh yeah," George blushed. "So how far along?"
"Four months. I wanted to make sure I would have the baby, no miscarriage or anything, before I told people. I didn't want to get your hopes up."
"Well I am certainly happy. I kinda realized that you were getting a bit bigger lately, but I have the tact not to say anything," he told me as he kissed my cheek.
"Happy Valentine's Day, George."
"Happy Valentine's Day, Madison."
