Chapter 23: The Veil Part Two

Harry and I met up in Dumbledore's office, and the awkwardness between the two of us was unbearable.

"I can't stand being mad at you," Harry muttered to me.

"You're my brother, and you are the only blood related family I have left," I told him.

"Forgive me?" Harry asked me.

"Forgiven," I smiled at him.

"Now that that is out of the way, Madison, why don't you show us a memory of the Veil?" Albus Dumbledore asked me.

I nodded. I put my wand to my head and a stringy, silvery, gooey looking thing came out of my head. I placed it in a vial.

The three of us gathered around a the pensive. Pouring from my vial in there, we all stuck our heads in there.

It was right where we left off, ironically.

Memory me had gulped as she stood in front of the big judgement building.

(You know what? I'm just going to do this whole Veil part in 3rd point of view, it makes it easier on my part and probably yours)

Past-Madison knocked on the marble door thrice, and it opened up. There was a figure who wore a peach robe and had a neatly trimmed beard.

"Madison Potter?" He asked.

"That's me," she nodded.

"They've been waiting," the man said.

Madison gulped again and made her way through five more set of doors, each one more elegant than the rest.

When she reached the final door, it was already ajar.

Madison walked in and found herself in front of a panel of two mean and one woman. They had to be dead, all of them had to be.

Madison's green eyes scanned the podiums name tags.

There was a man named Christopher Columbus up there.

Next to him, in the middle, was a woman with the name tag Queen Elizabeth I.

The last judge was a man next to the late queen of England. His name tag tag read Aaron Burr.

Madison snorted.

"You're my judges? The only good person here is Queen Elizabeth, your majesty!" Madison declared, her anger finally exploding.

"That's what I keep telling Abraham Lincoln, but all he says is something about a country divided cannot stand!"

Madison nodded her head. "Anyway, judge me. I want to go back to life, just so you know."

"Well, you've had some triumphs in your life. You've discovered a new world-"

"Oh, don't you new world me, Christopher Columbus! You didn't even discover America, despite what they say about you! You discovered Cuba or something, right? Guess what? Americans can't go to Cuba!" She ranted.

"Well, we the people-"

"You have no right to say that. You killed about a fucking hundred thousand people."
