"Hey! Where are you going?" I yell. I see him running into the woods and if rum after him. We started to get deeper and deeper into the woods. I could tell that we were just at the very outskirts of the kingdom, but I didn't recognize this area. I see him running into a cabin, and I quickly follow. I take a second to catch my breath and walk inside the mysterious cabin. "Dan?" I call out, worried. The room was poorly lit, and there was no sight of Dan. I take another step forward into the cabin. "Raurgh!!!" Dan yells. "Augh!" I jump, and bump into the wall. Dan starts to laugh like a madman, as I glare at him. "I hate you." I mumble. "No you don't." He answers back. "So, what is this place?" I ask. "It's my house. It's just right outside the border of the kingdom. I like to be alone sometimes, so I would come here." Dan says, smiling. "But if you get caught here you could be put in the dungeon." I respond. "Well, yes. But according, to the King he thinks I live with my mother, who covers for me when I'm gone." Dan shrugs. "Then why are you showing me this place?" I ask. "Because I can trust you." Dan says, and walks up the stairs. I follow him up, and opens the door to a small bedroom. "I know it's not as fancy but-" he starts. But I quickly interrupt him and jump onto the bed. "Wow! It's so cozy! I've always wanted a room like this!" I say. I look out the gigantic window that was on the roof and stacks of books on the desk. "You, actually like it?" Dan asks surprised. "Just because I'm a prince, doesn't mean I like everything big and fancy." I grin. Dan smiles back and takes a seat next to me. "So who do you think he'll choose?" Dan asks. "For what?" I ask, confused. "For your princess." Dan responds. "Probably, Princess Katherine of Mayfare. Father won't stop talking about her." I groan. "Oh, well maybe she'll be a nice girl. And by the way her name is Katelyn, not Katherine." Dan says. "Oh yeah, woops! I always forget her name. I just wish there was someone out there who I loved and loved me back so I could just marry them. And we wouldn't live in the castle, we could run away together and be happy in peace." I sigh. The room was silent and I could feel Dan's eyes on me. I took a slight glance at him, and his eyes locked with mine. The expression on his face was unreadable, and I looked away. He mumbles something under his breath. "Did you say something?" I ask. "You deserve to be happy." He says, and walks off. This time I didn't bother to chase after him and watch him disappear down the corridor. I sat there quietly. Thinking. I eventually got up and left. I walked back to the castle and was greeted by Mr. Carpenter. "Hello, your majesty! I still can't believe how much you've grown! And I can't believe your big day is coming so soon!" He says, excitedly. Mr. Carpenter is the oldest and wisest person in the whole village. He has crowned 2 generations, and I will be his third. It never seemed right though, he should be king. Originally his mother and father ruled Careway. But one day his father died, and his mother later remarried. She married my great grandfather. She then layer died as well, and my family took over the kingdom. "Sir, are you alright?" He asks, concerned. "Yes, fine. And you don't have to call me sir or your majesty. I should be the one calling you that." I say, smiling. He chuckles. "By the way, Petunia sends you lots of love." Mr. Carpenter says. Petunia is his wife and works in the kitchen with Miss. Allen. "I send her the same amount as love, but maybe just a bit more." I say. Mr. Carpenter let's out a hardy laugh and waves me goodbye. I wave back, and get a snack from the kitchen. I then retreat back to my bedroom and flop onto my bed. I stated at the blank ceiling and could feel myself drifting off.
