We finally went inside, giggling, with our flower crowns still on. "Oh, Phil! There you are! Your father's back. He's in his room. He'll be expecting you." Mrs. Carpenter informs me. I nod and walk to father's room. "I think I'm going to stay out here." Dan says. "Don't be silly. Come on." I say, dragging him into the room with me. "Phil, my boy!" Father says, happily, without even looking up. "Hello father." I say. He looks up, and his smile slowly fades. "What's that on your head?" He asks. "It's a flower crown. Dan made it." I say, proudly. Dan gives a small wave. "Well, it makes you look like feminine! You're a prince not a princess." He practically spits. I clench my jaw, and give him a death stare. "Just take it off." Dan whispers. I sigh, and reluctantly take it off, just as Dan had. "Alright then!" Boomed Father. "Do you remember princess Katelyn of Mayfare?" He asks, excitedly. "Of course I do!" "Says the one who called her Katherine." Whispers Dan. I snort, and try to keep my composure. "Anyways," Father says suspiciously. "My big announcement is that she shall be your princess, and future queen." He says, clapping. My stomach drops, I had forgotten about Father choosing a wife for me. "And she's here!" He exclaims. He opens the door behind me and a skinny, blonde girl walked into the room. Her face covered with makeup. She had bright blue eyes like me and they were glaring at Dan. "Why is a towns person here? And what the hell is he holding in his hand?" She asked in disgust. "This is my...friend, Dan. And that's a flower crown he made. I have one too, so please don't be rude." I say, my jaw clenched. "Oh! You two will do perfectly!" Father said delighted. I roll my eyes and cross my arms. "Can I go now?" I ask. "Yes, you may. You should show Katelyn around." Father says, waving me off. "Oh and Dan. Your services aren't needed anymore. You may return home." He says, patting Dan's shoulder. "Wait, Father. Dan has really helped me in sword fighting, and can't he just help me a little longer? While Dan's helping me, you could go help Miss. Allen and Mrs. Carpenter with the wedding." I say, quickly. "Great idea! Dan, I'll have you stay until the wedding day." Father says. Dan nods, and I could see that he was upset. "But for now go rest, I bet your mother would want some help around the house." Father said. Dan nodded again and started to head toward the door. "Hey, meet me in the garden tonight." I whisper to Dan. He smiles and whispers, "Ok." I watch him walk out the door till I could no longer see him. "Now Phil, be a gentlemen and show Katelyn around." Father said. "Alright." I mumble.

"And finally this is my room." I say, opening the door. "Not as big as I imagined it would be." She said, sitting down on my bed. "Yeah, whatever, Katherine." I grumble. "It's Katelyn. I've told you about a hundred times! God, you're an idiot" She hisses. "Why are you even here?! I don't like you and you don't like me! What's the damn point!" I yelled. She looked at me with a smirk. "Money! Power! When our parents are dead, we'll be the richest and most powerful of all the kingdoms!" She said, greedily. "Now, I'm going to go to my room, and get some food from that old hag, Miss. Allen." She said. "She's not an old hag!" I say, furiously. "Whatever you say, honey." She laughs, devishly, slamming the door. I don't want to be here. Can't I just be alone with Dan? Well, I guess I'll be seeing him tonight.

I waited for hours, wide awake. Was he going to come? Did he get caught? Did he forget? These thoughts circled my head. I then hear pebbles being thrown at my window. I open it and smile to see Dan. I hold up a finger at him. I go over and lock my door. I quickly run back to my window and start to climb down. I finally reach the bottom and hug him. "She's a living hell." I say. "I know, I could tell." He says, rubbing my back. We stay like that, swaying back and forth. We pull back and sit down at the willow tree, where we had just been hours earlier. "I can't believe your marrying the bitch." He practically spit. "Don't remind me." I groan. I sigh, listening to the howl of the wind. "I wish we could just run away." I sigh, resting my head on his shoulder. "I do, too. But we would get caught in less than a day. But maybe someday." He says, holding my hands. "But for now let's just enjoy this for a second." "Okay." I smile. I could feel the up and down movements of his chest. I sighed happily. If only someday could come sooner.

I wake up to Katelyn shaking me awake. "Phil! Philll! Philll!" She screeched. "What do you want?" I ask, annoyed. "I want to go dress shopping." She whined. I groan and sit up. I push the covers to the side and fix my hair. I smile. "Actually Katherine-" "Katelyn." "Yeah, whatever. I can't go with you. I have sword fighting lessons with Dan. So, I gotta go. Have fun, going alone." I say, opening the door for her to leave. She glares at me as she leaves. I wash up and run off with sword in hand.

"Dan!" I exclaim, and jump up at him. My legs wrapped around his waist, and my arms around his neck. "Phil!" He giggled. "Get off me you spork, someone could see." "Fine." I say. He lets go of me, and picks up his sword. "Last night was fun." I say. "Phil!" He says his cheeks reddening. "This is not the time to talk about it!" He whisper-shouted. "You weren't complaining when you were moaning my name." I smirk. "Shut up! And are you sure no one heard us?" Dan said, nervous. "Yes, Dan I'm sure. Everyone's room is on the other side of the castle. No one could have heard us....unless I had actually made you moan harder than I thought." I laugh. "Oh, shut up! You moaned my name as much as I did you." He giggled. "Yeah, yeah. We should actually start now. Father will probably come over to check on us." I say, picking up my sword.

And as I said, a few minutes later Father did come to check up on us. He complimented me for finally getting the technique and thanked Dan for teaching me. "It looks as if you've been working hard. I never do this, but why don't you guys take today off. I'm in a good mood, especially because my boy is getting married." He said, putting me in a headlock. "Oh, um thanks." I said. Father left happily, he practically skipped out of the room. "Well, that was weird." I say. "Yeah, but now we have the rest of the morning to ourselves." Dan grins. "Lets go get some breakfast. And I think we should tell Miss. Allen about...us." I say. "Don't you think she might report it to your father?" Dan asked nervously. "No, I've known her since I was a kid, she would never. And she's gay too." I say. "Really? I'm surprised your father let's her work here." Dan says, as we walk out of the room. "Well, he doesn't know. She's only told me about it." I explain. "Makes sense." Dan shrugs.

We finally get to the kitchen and greet Miss. Allen. "Hi, Miss. Allen!" Dan and I say, simultaneously. "Oh hello boys!" She smiles. "I was just about to make breakfast." She says, as she gets out a pan. "Oh, and congratulations on the fiance, Phil. She's....lovely." Miss. Allen says with a forced smile. "Don't worry, Miss. Allen. You don't have to act like you like her. I don't like her either." I sigh. "Oh thank goodness. Someone needs to teach that young lady some manners!" Miss. Allen says angrily. "Oh, um yeah. So, uh, there's something Dan and I need to tell you..."

A/N: This story is seriously so fun to write. I hope you guys are liking it. By now, I'm pretty sure you can tell how awkward I am at writing author's notes, so I think I'm going to stop writing them unless I absolutely need to. So, bye for now!
