I turn around to see my father at the window. "COME HERE THIS INSTANCE! AND YOU BETTER LEAVE DANIEL OR I WILL SEND THE GUARD DOG AFTER YOU!" father yelled. "I'll see you tomorrow." I whisper in his ear. "But just in case if we don't. Come to the town at noon and we'll eat lunch together." Dan whispered back. "I'M WARNING YOU!" Father yelled, once more. I sigh and turn back around to face my father. I climb back up into my room. "So, that's how you've been snaeking around. I'll have that fixed immediately." He said, inspecting my window. "Fa-" but he quickly interrupts. "No, don't speak! I already have a headache don't make it worse! God!" He yelled slamming his fist against my desk. I flinch at his sudden action. "Katelyn's been warning me about you and Dan. And to think she was right! I can't believe you would betray me like this!" He fumed. "Well, I'm sorry I didn't turn out like the son you've always wanted. "Oh no! No no no no! You are not my son! I don't have a son! I've raised a faggot!" He shouted. His words hit me like bullets. "You will not be seeing him anymore! I forbid you too. You will be having lessons only with me and during your free time you will be spending time with Katelyn!" He growled. I open my mouth to say something, but quickly shut it, knowing it wouldn't change his decision. "Don't even think about sneaking out again!" He said, narrowing his eyes at me. "I won't." I groan. I get into bed and pull the covers over my head. He mumbles a few more cuss words, before slamming the door.

I wake up to Father yelling at me. "Get up you good for nothing arse!" I groan, and slowly get out of bed. "You have five minutes to get ready." He grumbled. I rolled my eyes, but still got ready for practice.

I could feel him glaring at me from across the room. "Are you done cleaning your sword, princess?!" He yelled. I clenched my jaw, and turned around. "Lets just get this over with." I sigh. I take my position, but with no warning he charges toward me. His sword slashing in all directions. "You're-supposed-to-wait-until-we're-both-ready." I say, while blocking him. "I'll do what I want, you fag!" He yells. "I'm not a fag!" I yell back, blood pumping through my veins. I never talked back to my father. I was always too scared, but I wasn't at this moment. "Did you just talk back to me?" He asked, in disbelief. "Yes! And I dont care! Because I am not a fag!" I shout. "Yes, you are. You little bitch!" He argued back. He then punches me in the chest, causing me to, practically, fly backwards. I have a coughing, trying to regain my breath. I wince as I touch the area, he had just hit me in. There was going to be a bruise. I look up at father in disbelief. Never once in my life had he ever hit me. "Get up, fag." He practically spit. I try to calm my breathing, and then slowly get up. I pick up my sword, and go into position again. He came hurtling toward me again, but this time with more force. He hit my sword out of my hand, and kicked me to the ground. I curl up into a ball, and try to ignore the pain. Father says nothing and leaves me in agony.

After some of the pain starts to go numb I carefully get up. I needed to see Dan. I look around for any sight of Father. I walk out and barely make it to the entrance when I hear a familiar voice. "Where the hell are you going?" I turn to see Katelyn smirking at me. "Come with me." I say, grabbing her wrist. "Careful!" She hissed. I bring her to the closest room, and lock the door. "Do you have any idea what you've done?" I growl. "Save our marriage?" She said, tilting her head, innocently. "Save our marriage?!" I say, in disbelief. "Well yeah. I can't let you play around with that innocent boy. If the town found out you were playing him, they would all go against you. Don't worry I won't tell anyone your little secret." She smiled. "I wasn't playing him! I love him, and now you've ruined that!" I yell. "Haha! That's funny. You're joking right?" She giggled. "No, I'm not. I love him. I want a future with him, where we can both be happy." I say, in a serious tone. "Oops. I guess I kinda fucked that up. Didn't I?" She said, shrugging. "Kinda?! Look what you got me from my father!" I said, pulling up my shirt, revealing a nasty purple bruise from where he had hit me. "Oh god!" She said, in disgust. "Yeah, so I think you kind of owe me a favor now." "Yeah, I guess." She said. "Ok, well I'm going to be using that favor now. I'm going to go see Dan, so can you cover for me?" I ask. "Yeah, sure whatever. But we're going to have to walk outside the castle together at least, because the guards will probably inform your father if you alone. I can just say we went flower-shopping for our wedding. I made a friend there, so she can confirm it, if he asks." She explains. "Ok, thanks. Lets go." I say.

"Where are you two going?" The guard asked, glaring at me. "We were going to look over some flowers for the wedding." Katelyn said, batting her eyelashes. The guard gave a slight nod and let us pass through. "Father must've told the guards to keep an eye on me." "By the way, this is a one time thing. So don't think I'm going soft." Katelyn hissed. "Yeah, yeah." I say, rolling my eyes.

Once we were out of sight, we split up and I hurried off to Dan's house. I fixed my hair, and knocked. "Phil!" Dan said, pulling me in. He quickly shut the door and pinned me to the door. He kissed me hungrily, his hands roaming my body. I enjoyed it, but we really did need to talk. I slightly push him back. He looks at me confused. "Sorry, its just we need to talk." I say. A look of fear struck Dan. "You're not breaking up with me are you?" He asked. "What? No of course not!" I said, alarmed. "Good. I was scared. Here we can talk in my room." He said. I follow him in and sit beside him on the bed. "Father is trying to cut any way of me seeing or talking to you." "I know. I went to the castle this morning, but the guards refused to let me through." Dan said, squeezing my hand. "Yeah, but I think he's also told the guards to keep an eye on me." I say. "Then how are you here, if they're supposed to be keeping an eye on you?" He asks. "Katelyn's covering for me, but it's only a one time thing." I say. "Wait, hold on! Why is Katelyn covering for you? How do you know it's not a trick?" He asks. "Oh because-" but I trail off. I didn't want Dan to worry about what Father did and said to me. "Because what? If you can tell Katelyn, you can tell me." He said. "Just don't get mad, okay?" I sigh. "Okay?" He said, suspicious. I take off my shirt and point out the bruise. "Who did this?!" He yelled. "Father. Dan please calm down. It's not a big deal." I say, scratching the back of my neck. "Not a big deal?! He hurt you!" He shouted. "What else did he do?" "He just said a few things. It's fine." I say. "What did he say." He growled. "He called me a faggot. And said I wasn't his son and that he didn't have a son. All he had was a fag..." I say, looking down at the floor, tears welling up in my eyes. "That son of a bitch!" Dan yelled, knocking down some papers off his desk. "Dan, it's fine really. I hate to see you upset." I frown. "I should be upset! He has no right to treat you like this! I could kill him!" He yelled. I could see pure rage in his eyes, that I had never seen before. His jaw was clenched, same with his fists. I could barely recognize the usually, cheerful Dan I knew. "D-dan, you're scaring me." I say, scooting back a bit. "I'm sorry." He said, calming down. "I just hate it that he hurt you." He said, sitting back down next to me. "You're not a fag. You're an amazing person, that I love very much." He said, caressing my cheek. "Thanks." I smile. He stares at me lovingly, but I frown. "What's wrong?" He asked, concerned. "This might be the last time, we get to see each other." I say, looking back down at the floor. He lifts my chin up and smiles weakly. "Then let's make the most of it." Our lips collide and I could feel the world melt away.

I smile at him, while trying to catch my breath. "Round two?" He asks, with a cheeky smile. "Maybe later." I laugh. "Fine." He pouts. I turn over looking around his room. He had books everywhere, a piano in the corner of the room, our clothes laid out randomly, where we had thrown them, and the papers he had knocked down just earlier. A paper caught my eye and I got up to pick it up. "What're you doing?" Dan asks, sitting up. "I have an idea on how we can see each other." I smile. "Great! Round 2 to celebrate your discovery?" Dan asks. "Are you always this horny?" I laugh. "Is that a yes." He asks. "Definitely."
