Ms. Heavensby was an insane crippled woman. She hobbled into her 5th hour class about five minutes late as usual. She smiles as she holds up a piece of paper excitedly. Everyone watches her for a moment before realizing what she was showing them. It was a new seating chart. Basically at the beginning of the year the class convinced her to let them sit wherever they wanted. With this class the sets only lasted so long. No one would pay attention to her detailed- verryyy detailed- lessons. Everyone frowned at the paper.
"Now now, class, no complaining!" She yelled at them in her low voice. She points to the first row. "Trent, Alaina, Freddie, Nicole. Second row: Ellie, Edward, Lauren, Elliot."
"Every year!" Ellie yells flopping into the seat. It was true though.
Ms. Heavensby stares at her with a death stare, "Third row: Aiden, Margaret, Mason, Emerson. Fourth row: Audriella, Justin, Hadley, Drake."
Hadley's eyes settle on Drake with irritation. He smiles wickedly. The tension between them was definitely high. One of Drake's friends, Cory, told her that Drake liked her. Ever since then he would just give her a stupid smile and run a hand through his black hair. She liked the messenger. If only she knew. Rationally as much as her friends wanted it to be true, they couldn't be for sure.
Everybody goes and sits in there newly assigned seats. Ellie grabs Audrie's arm before she walks to her desk.
"Not a word." She threatens. Audrie just replies by making a 'hmm' sound with a smile and a laugh. Ellie groans at her answer and sits down. Out of the corner of her eye she spies on Aiden.
Ms. Heavensby is the one who pulls her out of this. Everyone's eyes are now on her. She is actually a fairly interesting teacher, inappropriate and psychotic, but interesting. It's just too bad this class was close too lunch. Most of the class we were thinking about their grumbling stomachs while the other was thinking about Nelly Heavensby's lesson. In case you were wondering its what leads up to the french and indian war. Lets just say it involves the indian women and some single, horny french fur traders.

She seemed to know to stop because she took a drink of water and just sat there. A siren over the intercom rang. It wasn't the bell but a drill. All the students groaned as the principal's voice boomed throughout the entire school."This is a code yellow alert." He says. (A code yellow was in case there was a shooter on campus.)
All the students get underneath their chairs as Ms. Heavensby locks the door. There is a cardboard sign put over the tiny window in the door blocking anyone from looking in. Last but not least the lights flicker off. Everyone just sits there quietly as Ms. Heavensby goes back to her desk and sits in the chair. At last the drill was over; all the students got back into their seats wishing that they would have an excuse to not do work.
The class seemed to drag on forever after that. Up until the loud chiming of the intercom interrupted Ms. Heavensby. Sure she was ticked, but the students quickly grabbed their belongings and scuttled out of the room. There was only one thing that momentarily distracted Ellie from going to her friends. Hadley whispered into Audrie's ear. They both smiled at Ellie before linking arms and scurrying off. There was no way this could be good. Ellie watched for a second in disbelief. She knew her friends wouldn't hurt her... Would they. This seemed sketchy.
Ellie briskly chased after her friends. They even looked back at her and hurried faster. Suddenly Ellie decided it wasn't worth it. They would have to come to lunch eventually. When they did she would question them.
_____
Hadley smiled at Audrie as they reached all the lockers, "You do know which one it is right?"
"I think so, but I am not positive." She says with a giggle.
She felt horrible for running away from Ellie like that, but they had no choice. The simple fact was that this had to be done. Hadley held up the note that the two put together the night before in magazine letters. They both smile as the glance over it one last time as Audrie slips it into a locker. They both stand in admiration of their fantastic job before running away from the locker area.
Slowly they approached the courtyard. Their eyes landing on Ellie. The girls share a glance before walking a little faster.
"How ticked do you think she will be?" Audrie asks.
"I guess we will find out." Hadley says as Ellie spots them.
They close the remaining distance as Ellie tries to ignore them. She glances at Nicole locking her gaze. Justin sat to Ellie's right and Brooke was to her left. Ellie gave them a quick thing about the two running away and she forced them to sit there. Nicole, Lauren and Emerson sat across from her. Hadley and Audrie sat in the two seats in between Justin and Lauren. -It was a circular table.- there was only a seat left. In a matter of moments someone rushed up to fill it.
"Hey can I seat here?" Janice said. Everybody's eyes got real big not knowing what to say. No one except maybe Christian liked this chick... demon thingy. "Hey, Nicole!"
~~~Audrie and Emerson grab Hadley's arms before she can say anything. Ellie continues to sit in her silence. On most occasions she would pretend like it never happened until they felt guilty and spilled, but not this time. She turns to Janice.
"Actually we are saving that seat." Ellie says bitterly before turning back to Lauren.
"By who?"
"The new kid!" Hadley exclaims catching on.
"New kid?" Janice asks hopeful.
"Yup but he has a thing for Brooke." Emerson says smirking at Brooke. Brooke's face turns red as she thinks of the previous day.
"I'm going to get a taco." Ellie says suddenly. She starts to turn to Audrie to ask her to come then remembers. "Never mind." She mumbles to herself quickly leaving.
"Go away, Janice." Hadley mumbles. Even though Janice doesn't hear her she is already walking away. One girl at the table she sits at walks over to them.
"I hate you all." She whisper yells.
"Hey, Mackenzie!" Hadley waves and Mackenzie just rolls her eyes. She turns and storms off while the rest laugh at all that just happened. "So guys what do you say about having a little dorm room get together at mine and Audrie's... And Ellie's.
"That sounds fun!" Brooke says.
"I get to do the music though." Emerson says quickly.
"Of course!" Hadley says excitedly. "Oh and Justin tell all the guys! Everyone needs to be there!"
_____
Ellie storms up to the taco truck and orders her usual. She was beyond ticked off. She grumbled to herself as she yanked the small bag of soft tacos away from the poor guy and began to spin around. Little did she know that there was a familiar face waiting for her.
"Oh hey, Carter!" She says excitedly. Suddenly she sees her table and her grouchiness reappears. "Oh um we told Janice off so you could come sit with Brooke... I mean us."
"Yeah um about that..." He trails off scratching the back of his neck. "I think your friend is hot."
Ellie now has a smile from ear to ear, "Great now what the problem there?"
"I don't really know how to approach her about it..."
"Just be sweet and caring." Ellie says patting his arm. "Oo and a gentleman. Girls love those!"
"Okay." He says happily.
"Heres her number!" Ellie quickly types both Brooke's and her own number into his phone. "Mines in there if you need anymore help with her. Now come on!" With that she drags him back to her table.
