(Not So) Fun Games

"This party was an absolute disaster!" Ellie's face turns blood red. In truth she had never actually yelled at her friends. However right now was an exception. "Because of you two jackwagons I will forever be embarrassed around my crush! Because of your 'fun' game Carter punched, and dented, our wall! How on God's green earth are we to explain that? And why did he punch it? Because Brooke went into the closet with Josh. Despite all of our reasoning he is mad at me! On top of all of that you two are keeping a secret from me!"

"Ellie-" Audrie begins.

"Ring power, Audrie." Ellie extends her fist. "Cut the crap and tell me."

Hadley shoots Audrie a death stare shaking her head. Audrie slowly lifts her fist, "We may or may not have left a secret admirer note in Aiden's locker." Ellie is taken aback by her words. Totally and completely in awe.

2hours earlier

After school Carter was told to distract Ellie. So that is exactly what he did. After school he sent a quick text to her asking if she wanted to come over to his dorm room to play a video game. Naturally she questioned why he asked her instead of Brooke, but concluded she did not care. And now they were just returning to the dorms.

"Thanks, Carter." She starts. "You got my mind off my friends."

"Your welcome." He smiles. This whole time he is anxiously waiting for her to open the door so they both can go in. "Bye." He pushes the door open himself.

"Welcome home, Ellie!" Hadley says hugging her. Ellie stands stiff as she looks at everyone in the room. "We were just about to play either monopoly or quelf."

"I vote quelf because it is shorter." Ellie says. Everything from before lunch leaving her memory.

So that is what they played. A bunch of people from her class actually came over. That included Kennedy and Chloe. They smiled and waved as everyone picked out a colored personnel. Unfortunately it was an eight player game so they played in teams. Hadley and Ellie, Chloe and Kennedy, Addison and Courtney, Emerson and Nicole, Daelyn and Mackenzie, Margie and Sammy, Lauren and Mason, Audrie and Justin, Carter and Brooke, Josh and Aiden. The rest of the people either went to play monopoly in Emerson's, Brooke's, and Lauren's room.

Suddenly there was a light tap at the door. Everyone seems to ignore it as the same person taps on the door again. They all look at each other then the door. Slowly Audrie stands up and makes her way to the door. Sure enough it was Janice.

"Oh, Janice, hi." Audrie says as nicely as ever.

"Whats going on in here?" Janice asks. Audrie is taken aback. She has little experience in the whole telling people off, field. So now she stands there trying to come up with something to say.

"Um we lost your number." Ellie says taking a bite of her popcorn.

"Chloe has it." Janice says.

"She lost it too." Ellie says with a straight face.

"What are you trying to say?" Janice says narrowing her eyes at everyone.
Finally Hadley couldn't keep anything in anymore.

"Go away, Janice, nobody in this room likes you!" Hadley yells at her.

"What?" Janice says. Clearly her self-inflated ego had just been knocked down a few pegs.

"Wait I take that back." Hadley says getting ready to correct herself. "Nobody in this building likes you, or campus."
