School had been a rather interesting day. Justin had managed to get detention after yelling at Kennedy. It was a surprise that he even had it in him to even say anything to her. Apparently he did. Now Lauren was trying to secretly get ready for her date. She already called her mom and got permission to leave campus with Mason. Everyone knew that the two had a date. However Lauren never actually told them when this would be happening. They would probably just follow her on her date. Lauren started to get dressed.
"Lauren where are you going?" Brooke asks from her top bunk.
"Um.. No where in particular. Where are you going?" Lauren asks raising her eyebrows.
"Well I am in my pajamas so..." Brooke looks down at her outfit. "Yanno, I saw a slip on the table. Doesn't that mean that you can leave campus?"
"Yes?" Lauren overthinks what she is saying.
"Ahhhh! The date is sooo tonight!" Emerson comes out of the bathroom with a happy face. She looks at Lauren. "Can I please do your makeup?"
"Yes please." Lauren just gives in. There was no way she could convince them otherwise, and she needed her makeup done.
Emerson got to work on Lauren's makeup while Brooke did her hair. In a matter of twenty minutes they got her completely ready. The two were so proud of the work so they decided to be parents for the moment. Emerson crossed her arms over her chest.
"You look so beautiful dear!" Brooke said giving Lauren a hug.
"Yes, but your mother and I want you back by ten no excuses. Also stop sassing your mother and I!" Emerson says. "If that boy hurts you tell him I own a gun."
"Be safe." Brooke says with a wink. Lauren just rolls her eyes as her two friends tackled her with a hug.
"I am going to text Ellie that the star-crossed lovers are about to go on their date!" Brooke squeals excitedly.
"Absolutely not! The less people who know the better. Also I do not want anyone else getting my nerves all jacked up!" Lauren starts to shake her hands trying to calm down.
The girls waited for a few minutes before forcing Lauren to text Mason. Even then they had to keep sitting there. A few more minutes passed and there was a light tap on the door. Lauren started to stand up. She rather quickly went to the door. However before she opened it she made sure her hair and face were perfect. She mumbled "okay" to herself before actually opening the door. There was no one. In fact the only noticeable thing was that there was a trail of rose petals. Lauren looked around and immediately saw Ellie, Hadley and Audrie standing there with goofy smiles.
"We were told to tell you that these lead to your date." Hadley says while wiggling her eyebrows. Brooke and Emerson appear behind a red-faced Lauren. "We have been waiting on you for like ten minutes."
"Ahh! That means that I have made us late to our date!" Lauren squeals loudly. She starts to run off.
"Wait where are you guys going?!" Audrie yells after her.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Lauren says with a sly smirk evident on her face.
"Yes I would!" Audrie yells back. It was too late however. Lauren disappeared down the stairs in a hurry. "That is why I asked."
"I hope this goes well. They are literally goals." Brooke says happily. Everyone laughs at her statement.
"Besides you and Carter." Ellie sends a wink in Brooke's direction. "I'm just kidding. No one beats Lauren and Mason in my mind."
"Oh my gosh! Same!" Audrie yells excitedly. Everyone was hype for their date. Especially when the rose petals thing was so romantic. The girls slowly- and happily- went back into their rooms.

Audrie rushed back into her dorm room out of pure frustration. Hadley and Ellie stared at her with confused looks. Sure all three girls have gotten mad and slammed, thrown or punched something in their room. How can you not when you have the same view at all times of the day. School. The girls brush it off as normal behavior until Audrie literally dives onto her bed face first. Once her small figure hit the bed she sorta bounced and rolled of the bed with a soft thud. Instantly both Hadley and Ellie began to laugh.
"How?.... What?..... Are... you okay?" Hadley wheezed out in between her loud laughs. Her eyes slightly teared up from her laughter.
"What has got your panties in a twist that you felt the need to abuse the poor floor like that?" Ellie gets out just barely.
"You know how I broke up Kennedy and Justin's fight at lunch today? Well somehow this whole thing is my fault. I cannot, for life of me, get Justin to talk to me about it. Sometimes I just really wanna know what is going on in that boy's mind. Yanno?" Audrie said everything rather fast. Hadley sighed as she began to sort out this new information in her head. Ellie answered as usual.
"I'm just saying that you shouldn't let it go to your head. None of it was your fault. You know that. We know that. Once his head and heart is in the right place he will know that too." She says. Audrie gives her a sad smile.
"Ellie, did you become a fortune cookie?" Hadley asks nonchalantly.
"Now, Hadley, that was actually really good advice." Audrie says in Ellie's defense.
"Besides we all know you two are gonna get married one of these days." Ellie says while taking out a Dr. Pepper from their mini-fridge.
"Hey!!" Audrie's voice gets an octave higher as she begins to now defend herself. "Who am I kidding. That good advice coming from you? No way without a catch."
"Wow, hoe... Now ol mama feels offended." Ellie says shaking her head in discontent.
"You called me a hoe." Audrie pouts with her bottom lip and big old puppy eyes.
Meanwhile Hadley is saying, "Never refer to yourself as ol mama again. That was weird."
"Sorry not sorry." Ellie shrugs.
The girls sit in silence for a while before a light tap comes from their door. None of them were expecting anyone to be coming over. Especially when Brooke and Emerson never knock and text as they are in the door. No one ever really does come over anyways. Hadley and Ellie weren't the neatest people on the planet. The person responsible for the knock turned out to be Mason.
He held up a garbage bag full of rose petals, "Will you guys help me while she gets ready?" The three girls instantly become the happiest people ever and agree to do whatever was needed. They wanted Lauren to have the best date ever.
