Ellie tried her best to avoid Hadley, which was nearly impossible. They had most of their classes together after all. Then came home ec. Everyone's favorite class period. When Hadley walked in she saw Margie, Sammy, and Ellie already sitting at the table. She carefully sat down on the end away from Ellie. Ellie smiled and she shook her head out of frustration. Hadley turned her head to see Elliot staring at her. She smiled when he waved at her. Then she slowly realized that he was motioning for her to come over. Im good. She mouthed back.

"Ellie, somehow this is your fault. I bet you talked to him when you left and never came back!" She was actually accusing Ellie of this. Ellie laughed and rolled her eyes.

"Maybe you two are just destined!" Ellie smiles at Hadley's irritated face.

"I hate you." Hadley shakes her head and faces forwards. The teacher was telling the class to be quiet and for once everyone listened. Hadley felt Sammy poke her arm. Sammy passed her a note from a smiling Ellie. No you don't! Ellie had written. Hadley shook her head and tried to face forwards.

"So she is mad at you for...?" Margie asks.

"Ruining her life." Ellie mumbles. They all continue to tap their pencils to the beat of Mrs. Kings voice.

Then they began baking. Across the room Elliot, Neville, Trent, and Justin were struggling to make their cake and brownies. Two got to make the cake at the table, and the other two made brownies. Hadley had to force herself to keep her eyes trained on the batter. She could feel Elliot's gaze on her. Margie ended up poking her hard in the side.

"Looks like someone has their eye on you, Hadley." Margie jokes and pokes her side again.

"Unless you want your finger to be shattered into a million tiny pieces like Ellie's neck," Hadley glares at Ellie forcing her to pretend like she wasn't eavesdropping. "I suggest not poking me again."

"Looks like Trent has a secret admirer too eh, Margie?" Sammy jokes. Margie narrows her eyes at Sammy, and without Margie even threatening her she quickly mumbles, "sorry."

"That is what I thought." Margie shakes her head and gives a tsk tsk sound.

For most of the class everyone was quiet and did what they were told. Of course all good things have to end. Elliot walked over to Hadley and asked her were she wanted him to take her tomorrow. She just rambled on and basically agreed to go wherever he wanted. As soon as he turned and walked away Ellie laughed and smiled at Hadley. Hadley then grabbed the left over flour and dumped it on an unsuspecting Ellie. Everyone just froze for a few moments taking in what just happened. Then chaos broke out as Addison screamed food fight.

Hadley grabbed the frosting and flicked it at Sammy. That was right before a chunk of cake crashed into Hadley's face. The people that had no interest in getting covered in food ducked under neath the tables. Sammy hid underneath the table with Nicole and Janice. Then Ellie gladly accepted her fate in detention. As the end of school drawled nearer they all cared a little less about the rules. Suddenly Ellie felt something sticky running down her back. Aiden, Drake, and Josh had dumped brownie batter down her back. Ellie's jaw dropped as she reared back to punch someone.

"Okay, Ellie!" Margie grabbed her and pulled her away from punching her boyfriend. This whole time nobody had really noticed that Audrie wasn't there until the door opened. Everyone though that it was the principal, at first. Then they just saw Audrie and threw some cake at her.

"Every man for themselves!" Brooke yelled before running over to Daelyn and Mackenzie. Carter ran over to protect Brooke at first but then they began to get in a real fight.

"Aiden what the actual literal heck is wrong with you?!" Ellie yelled at him. That was definitely a first for them. Aiden was taken aback by her attitude. "It will take forever to get brownie mix and flour out of my hair!"

"Look I'm sorry, Ellie. I was just trying to have fun!" Aiden yelled back and tried to grab Ellie's hand.

"No, Aiden, get away from me!" Ellie yelled back at him. Even though it was a lame fight it still made both of them ticked.

"What was that about?" Emerson asked Ellie. Ellie simply dismissed it and continued with the war that was raging on.

When Mrs. King finally got everyone settled down they began to start cleaning up. It took forever. There was icing and cake batter everywhere. People apparently had terrible aim. Either that or everyone could dodge like no one's business. Once that finally happened everyone sat in their chairs basically fuming because of their own friends. The angriest of them all was Ellie and Hadley. As soon as the bell rang Mrs. King gave everyone passes to get out of the last two classes so they could all shower and do laundry.

When Ellie left the classroom someone tapped on her shoulder. She turned around to see a very confused Aiden. She crossed her arms across her chest. They both just stood there for a few moments before Aiden did something unexpected. He grabbed both sides of Ellie's and pressed his lips to hers. Their lips moved together for awhile until they both needed to breathe. Before Aiden could pull her back to him she pushed him away.

"I have to go clean up. I will see you this weekend alright?" Ellie offers.

"Its a date." Aiden says with a smile on his face. Everything just seemed to be wrong to Ellie. Even though part of her was still crazy about Aiden the other was just done.

"Sure, sweetie." She said quickly before walking off.

Half way down the hallway Carter was waiting for her. He smiled and put an arm around her. Ellie didn't mind. He walked her to her dorm building before just leaving her by herself. Ellie began to question every horrible decision she had made that year. Starting with dating Isaac before school had started.
