Chapter 13 - Blonde Again

ROSE'S POV-

I woke up the next morning to the feeling of my body being shaken wildly. My eyes popped open to see Lily standing over me with a large grin on her face. "Wake up! Scorpius is gonna be here soon!" She cried.As soon as the words left her mouth I sprang out of bed. I had so much to do. I needed to shower and attempt to fix my hair. I also needed to get dressed and tidy up my room. I pushed Lily out of the way and lunged toward the bathroom. I showered quickly and looked into the mirror. Yesterday's makeup was smudged under my eyes. I scrubbed them clean and applied a fresh coat of thick black mascara. I attempted to tame my unruly curls and rushed into my room.

I only had ten minutes till he arrived. I used a few spells to clean the room and threw on some clothes. It might have seemed silly but I wanted things to go great when Scorp arrived. I wanted my dad to behave, as well as the rest of my family. I wanted to look good. I wanted things to be perfect. It's not like he hadn't seen how crazy my family actually was, or how I looked without my hair and makeup fixed. But today was different. He was coming to my house. Well technically it's my grandma's house, but whatever. It's not like he hadn't been here tons of times before, but we were a couple now. It needed to go smoothly.

As I was deep in thought, I heard a loud crash downstairs and I knew he was here. I sprinted down the stairwell to see him talking with Albus, casually wiping the soot from the fireplace from his brilliant face. He looked up and our eyes met. Warmth shot through my veins. He grinned. I bounded myself into his arms.

Our lips met into a passionate kiss. We broke apart, both grinning madly. "Oi Scorpius, if you wouldn't mind, get your bloody hands of of my cousin!" Albus yelled. I blushed but Scorpius just laughed and winked at me. "Oh Scorpius, it's so great to see you!" Squealed mum as she rushed in through from the kitchen, pulling him into a bone crushing hug. "You too, Mrs.Weasley. I really appreciate you having me over for the holiday." He answered politely.

Conversation flowed easily between the two for a few minutes. Mum eventually bustled off into the kitchen leaving only me, Scorpius, Albus, and Alice. Al and Alice glanced at each other and walked out of the room, leaving us to be by ourselves.

"I'm very proud of you ya know." He told me. "It wasn't that big of a deal." I replied.
"But it was! I told you that you should have talked to your dad and you did even though you were still upset. That takes a big person, Rose." He said. "Whatever, I'm just glad you're here." I said.

We sat on the couch and talked for a while. After about an hour my father walked in. We hadn't realized he was there so we kept talking. "So about your dad." Scorpius lead. "Scorp, we have already been over this." I stated firmly. "No I wanted to ask you something. So he's ok with me being here right? Because the last thing I want is to cause any drama between anyone." He said. "Scorp he's fine with it. If he says or does anything wrong, then I can count on all of my cousins giving him hell. You know all of my family likes you, well, besides my father at least. But you know he'll come through." I said sweetly as I kissed his cheek.

We both looked up as the door seemed to have slammed shut. "Was someone in here?" He asked worriedly. "I doubt it. It was probably just the cat." I said trying to stay calm. We decided to brush it off and kept talking.

A few hours later Grandma Molly came in to tell us it was time for a dinner. Scorpius tensed up beside me. "Hey, calm down. It's going to be fine." I reassured him. He took a deep breath and reached for my hand. We walked into the kitchen and sat down.

"Scorpius!" "So great to see you!" "How are you ?" All were things that that we were greeted with. "Scorpius and Rose sitting in a tree. S-N-O-G-G-I-N-G. " taunted James and Fred. "Oh shut up you two." I shot back. I noticed that my dad wasn't present at the table. We proceeded with dinner like usual. About half way through he walked in looking completely calm. "Sorry I'm late everyone. Oh, hello, Scorpius." He said casually. Everyone seemed to look quite shocked by his way of entering. I looked at Scorpius to see how he would react. Shock and panic rippled across his face but were soon replaced by a smile. "Hello to you too, Mr. Weasley." He replied smoothly.
