SCORPIUS'S POV-

I woke up the next morning to find Rose still curled against my chest. I smiled at the sight of her looking so peaceful. I propped myself up to check the time. It was still only 9:30 AM and I didn't have to meet Lucius till midnight. My stomach churned at the thought. Knowing that I had to face him and lie was sickening. Rose started to stir beside me. Her emerald green eyes opened slowly and she grinned when she looked up at me.

"Good morning, love." I said. She leaned up to kiss me. "Today's the day. Are you nervous?" She asked quietly. "To be honest, yes. I'm going out and putting my life out on the line by lying. Potentially putting all of our lives in danger isn't exactly a comforting thought." I admitted. "It's going to work out fine!" She replied optimistically. "Honestly Scorp, what's the worst that can happen?"

Anger bubbled up inside of me. "How do you know it's going to be fine, Rose? Oh that's right, you don't! And the worst that can happen? I could die Rose!"I snapped. Anger and shocked passed across her face. "I was just trying to help. Don't forget it was me who came up with this plan in the first place."  She yelled. "Maybe I didn't need your help! You were the one who insisted in running of to your daddy to solve your problems!" I yelled

She looked at me in shock, bottom lip starting to tremble. "Well if that's how you feel then I think I'll just be going." She replied in a shaky voice. "Rose, wait I didn't mean it!" I called out to her. She ignored me and ducked through the portrait hole.

I let out a deep breath. What had I done? Right when I really needed her, I repelled her away.

ROSE'S POV-

I walked into the Gryffindor Common Room and headed straight up to my old dormitory. My tears had dried up and had been replaced with fury. How could he be so ungrateful? I had worked extremely hard to help him, and I had forgiven him so easily after all he had done. I ripped open the dormitory door and went straight to Alice's bed. Everyone else had already cleared out. Alice was still asleep so I did the only sensible thing. I jumped on her.

"Alice, Alice wake up I need to talk to you!" I chanted continually while jumping up and down on top of her. "What in Merlin's name could you possibly need at this ungodly hour?" She screeched. "Alice, it's almost 10:00." I said trying to stifle a laugh. " That' still early." She grumbled. "Alice, I got into a fight with Scorpius." I stated. She stared at me wide eyed and at up. "Tell me everything." She commanded.

I told her how everything was great until out of nowhere Scorp started yelling and criticizing me. "I don't even know what I did. I was just trying to be supportive like a good girlfriend, but he went insane! I wasn't going to tell him the truth, about how scared I am for him and how I hate this whole situation. That wouldn't do anything but upset and stress him out even more!" I sighed. "I know he' probably just scared about everything. Who wouldn't be? But he had no right to say all the things he said." I concluded.

Alice listened intently until I had finished. "Do I have permission to hurt him?" She asked innocently. "No Alice, you do not have permission to attack Scorpius." I said with a laugh. "But why not?" She whined. "It's a tempting offer and trust me, I want to give in, but I don't think hurting him is going to help anything." I said practically.

"Fine, if you're not going to let me hurt him, let me go down to the kitchens and get us some ice cream. We can stay up here and have a girls day." She said excitedly. "Ok! But I need to go find Scorpius before dinner. I want to talk things out and spend time with him before he goes to Lucius. But for now we can let him feel guilty for the next few hours." I said with a smirk.

We spent the day catching up and eating bowls upon bowls of ice cream. It was around 7:00 when I knew I needed to go and find Scorp. I headed straight to the Heads Common Rooms.  I knew that I couldn't actually go around looking for him because Lucius might see us interacting. I figured that if he wasn't there I'd wait it out till he came around.

I ducked through the portraits hole and looked around the room only to see that it was empty. His bedroom was empty too. I grabbed some of my text books and decided to get a head start on my homework. As the hours ticked by the deeper my worries for Scorpius got. So, I buried myself in homework. I moved from charms, to history of magic, to transfiguration, to potions, and finally to defense against the dark arts. Before I knew it I had finished all of my homework for the week and was left with nothing but my worries.

It had been 3 hours since I had headed into the common room, making it 10:00. 2 hours till Scorp had to meet Lucius. He was probably hanging out with Albus or something. The thought of Albus sprung an idea in my head. I jotted down a note on a spare piece of parchment and tied it to the owl.

An answer came back within 10 minutes.

Hello Rose! To answer your question, no, I haven't seen Scorp. But Alice informed me what happened and you seen worried. We are on our way.
                                                                                                -Al

I sighed in relief. Within minutes Al and Alice showed up. We talked for awhile but I could tell that they were trying to keep my mind of of Scorp. Next thing I knew it was 1 in the morning, an hour after Scorpius should have met Lucius. Al and Alice were still trying to distract me by talking about the fill in teacher for Teddy in Defense Against The Dark Arts. "Guys, he should be with Lucius right about now." I interrupted. They both looked up at me. "I'm sure he's fine." Said Alice soothingly. "Yeah, I have no doubt about it." Said Al.

"But what if he's not!" I fretted. "Don't think like that." Pleaded Alice. "You're right. I'm sure he's fine." I concluded. Every few minutes or so this conversation repeated itself. We had all finally dozed off until around 4:00 I heard the portrait hole being pushed open. I sat up bolt right and whipped my head around to see Scorpius tip toeing in. I pushed past Al and Alice and ran straight into his unsuspecting arms.

"I'm so sorry Scorp, I'm sorry about earlier. I was just trying to be supportive and helpful and I'm so sorry. Merlin I've been so bloody worried. Are you ok, did everything go alright with Lucius?" I rambled. He lifted his head and met my gaze. " No Rose, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said any of the horrible things I said earlier because I didn't mean them. None of it was your fault. Everything went great with Lucius. He believed every word if it." He said excitedly.

I wrapped one arm around his neck and the other hand entangled itself in his hair. He pulled me towards him and our lips met. I smiled against his lips and kept kissing him. We finally broke apart smiling and breathing heavy.

I looked around and Al and Alice were staring at us wide eyed. "I think we're just gonna go." Exclaimed Al awkwardly. Alice nodded in agreement as Al threw his invisibility cloak around the two of them. They left and I looked back to Scorp.

"Where were you? I've been in here since 7 and you weren't supposed to meet Lucius until midnight!" I said. "I was sitting by the lake. I needed to think about everything. I originally was going to set out to find you but decided against it. I figured you needed time to cool off." He explained.

I nodded and led him over to the couch. "So what all happened with Lucius?" I asked eagerly. "Well, I met him and explained that I would help him only if I didn't have to hurt anyone. He protested at first but eventually gave in. He told me that we would meet twice a week and he would tell me his latest plans and he'd sneak me out to help him with things." He explained.

We ended up talking until it was time for breakfast. I walked over to the Gryffindor table and saw all of my cousins sitting with solemn faces. I noticed that Al wasn't there. "What's wrong?" I asked starting to get worried. "There's been an accident." Said Lily in a pained tone.

Hey guys! I'm sorry that I haven't updated in a while. I've just had a lot of trouble writing this chapter and it's honestly not one of my favorites. Anyways I hope you all enjoy! XOXO
