ROSE'S POV-
After we all got of the train, we headed to the carriages. Not many people actually saw the Thestrals that pull them because you can only see them if you've seen someone die. Uncle Harry had told us plenty about them. I got into a carriage with Al, Alice, and Scorpius, like usual. "When did dead looking horses start pulling the carriages?" Scorpius asked. We all looked at him shocked. We knew that if he could see them, then he would have had to see someone die. And if he had never seen them before then it had had to have happened over the summer.
"Why are you all staring me?" He said angrily. "Scorp, you can only see the Thestrals if you've seen someone die." Al said carefully. One thing that is known about Malfoy is his vicious temper. If you set him off, there's no telling when he will calm down. Scorpius seemed shocked. He also seemed a little bit flustered. Almost as if he was hiding something. "Well I don't know what your talking about. I've never seen anyone die so you must be lying." He said angrily. "Malfoy, do you honestly think that Al would lie straight to your face? And If you really don't believe him, then you can look it up. I think that I might actually have a book on them!" I said enthusiastically. "Of course you would have a book on it Weasley. You take after your filthy mudblood mother." He said coldly.
That's when all hell broke loose. His words hit me like a slap in the face. I couldn't believe what he had said. Me and Malfoy had never exactly gotten along, but he had never said anything like this before. I sat shocked at what he had said. A look of realization crossed over his face. " Rose, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it. I was just frustrate-" he was cut off by the sharp hit of Al's fist colliding with his nose, sending a deadly crunching sound. "Don't you ever speak to my cousin like that." Al shouted. " Albus you need to calm down." Alice said frantically. "No, this ends now. I am sick and tired of your attitude towards Rose. Quit this stupid act and bloody tell her!" He yelled. For the first time I spoke. "Tell me what?" I said in a deadly calm tone. "Can't you tell Rose? He's obviously head over heals in love with you! You obviously like him too. The reason you two bicker is because you're afraid to tell each other how you really feel." Al shouted. I was blushing like mad and I could see that Scorpius was too. Luckily we had just pulled into Hogwarts. I sprinted past everyone else. Hot tears were spilling down my face. His words kept echoing through my head,
"Your filthy mudblood mother."
But Al's words also stayed with me,
"He's obviously head over heals in love with you!"
I needed to get away from everyone else. So, I ran to the only place that I could think of.

SCORPIUS'S POV-
As soon as we arrived to Hogwarts, I watched Rose sprint past everyone else. I felt awful. I should have never said what I said. And Albus. How could he of told her? I guess in a way I deserved it, but still. I needed to fix things with Rose. She already knows how I feel, and apparently she feels the same way towards me. But I needed to get away. Without thinking I ran the only place I could think of.
