Sydney's POV

Adam looked at me for a couple seconds before walking back towards me. When he reached the door, he finally spoke. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Don't worry Adam. Vince isn't home." I said. "Alright then," He said before he walked in.

I shut the door and walked into the family room, where Adam was playing with trains with Bentley. I sat on the couch and watched them play. Adam and Bentley had huge smiles on their faces the whole time.

"Mommy, can I color?" Bentley asked. "Sure, baby," I said before I got up to grab Bentley his coloring book and crayons. I set them on the coffee tabe and sat back down on the couch next to Adam. "Thank you, mommy," He said. "You're welcome Bentley," I said.

"So where's Vince?" Adam asked. "In New York for 3 days. He left while we were gone and I found a note from him on the counter," I said. "Does he leave suddenly, a lot?" Adam asked. "Yeah, sometimes. He's busy a lot," I said. "He's in movies, isn't he?" Adam asked. "Yeah, he is," I said.

"Does Bentley like him?" He asked. "Yeah, Bentley's been growing up with Vince, so he looks at him as his dad," I said. "Does he call him dad?" Adam asked. "No, he calls him Vince," I said. "Oh," Adam said. "I will tell him, one day. If I tell him now, he won't understand. I promise I will tell him when he is older," I said. "Thanks," Adam said. "I do want you in his life, Adam. I've seen you be a great dad. I want you to be a great dad to him too," I said.

"Thank you, Syd. You have no idea how much that means to me." He said. I saw Adam looking around the family room at all the pictures that were hung on the walls. I had multiple pictures hung that had him in them. They were pictures from when Emily was alive and when I was pregnant with Adalyn.

"You kept all these pictures?" Adam asked as he got up to look at them. "Just because you're in them, doesn't mean I have to take them down. We were married for 3 and a half years," I said. "And not a day goes by where I don't think about it," Adam said. "I miss her," Adam said. "I miss her too," I said.

"Mommy, I'm going in the play room!" Bentley said as he ran away. "Ok," I said. Adam came across the picture of Vince and I on our wedding day. "You looked stunning," Adam said. "Thanks," I said. "I still have our photo," I said as I walked over to the fire mantle. I picked up a silver photo frame that held mine and Adam's wedding picture.

I handed it to Adam. "You looked absolutely gorgeous that day," Adam said. "Yeah, that was one of the best days of my life," I said. "Mine too," Adam said as he set the frame back on the mantle.

Moments later, Adam's lips are pressed against mine.

Adam's POV

I couldn't help myself. I leaned in and crushed my lips against Sydney's. After a few seconds, she started to kiss back. I picked her up and she wrapped her legs around my back. I quietly carried her up to her room and locked the door behind us.

I set her down and pulled her shirt over her head and threw it on the floor. She kicked off her running shoes and pulled off my t-shirt. She tugged at the zipper of my jeans and pushed them down to the floor. I pushed her onto the bed and pulled her shorts off. Moments later, our clothes were scattered around the room.

An hour later, Sydney and I were tangled in her bed sheets. "Wow," She said as she laid her head on my chest. "That was amazing," I said. And I wasn't lying. It really was great. Except that we both just cheated.

"We better get back down to Bentley," Sydney said as she rolled out of bed and pulled on her bra and panties. "Yeah, that's probably best," I said.

Once we were dressed, I pulled Sydney over to me and kissed her. She opened the door and we walked downstairs.

Sydney's POV

I walked downstairs with Adam following behind me. I felt bad for cheating on Vince again, but I still had feelings for Adam.

Bentley was sitting in the family room, watching tv. I sat down next to him and Adam sat next to me. "Mommy?" He asked. "Yeah, baby?" I asked him. "Why were you screaming Adam's name?" He asked. Oh shit. I looked at Adam and he had a worried look on his face. "I was tired so I took a nap and I had nightmares," I said. "Ok," Bentley said.

"I better go before Anne gets worried," Adam said as he hugged me. "Bye Bentley," He said. "Bye Adam!" Bentley exclaimed. "Can Adam come over more often, mommy?" Bentley asked. "If Adam wants to, then he can," I said before Adam left.

My phone buzzed on the table and I picked it up. It was a text from Vince's now 16 year old daughter Emma.

Sydney, can you come over? I need to tell you something.
