Adam's POV

...guilty your honor."
"Alright, I hear by sentence Mr. Vince Jackson to a minimum of 30 years in prison. *hits gavel* case dismissed," Judge Davisson said.

We had sole custody of Emma and Vince was going to prison for a minimum of 30 years. I could tell Sydney was happy. Her and Emma were both crying, happy tears of course.

I couldn't believe all this happened. I loved Emma. She was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet and I was glad she was now my...daughter.

2 Months Later

Emma's POV

After Adam and Sydney got full custody of me, things had been going great. They were both amazing parents and I love having Bentley around. The only thing I was having a hard time with was school, everyone was treating me differently because of Adam being my new dad. Lots of girls came up to me and pretended to be my friend just because he was my dad and I was getting tired of it. I had no real friends, none.

I still hadn't even called Adam dad or Sydney mom. I love them I just hate having Adam be famous. It's ruining everything. I know I need to talk to them about it..I just don't want them to get mad at me and yell at me like my dad did..I couldn't handle that. What if they don't understand? I mean, I wouldn't expect them to.

But, I needed to talk to them and I decided I would tonight. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but to me, it is. I thought people actually liked me..but it was just for Adam.

My thoughts were soon interrupted by the dismissal bell, signaling for us to leave. I could drive, so I got everything I would need tonight and headed to the parking lot.

When I moved in with Adam and Sydney, they surprised me with a brand new car, an Infiniti G35. My dream car. The only thing that sucked was this stupid traffic in L.A. I normally took back roads home but today I got a wild hare and decided to take the freeway. And that's the last thing I remember. Getting on the freeway.

Then everything went black.

Sydney's POV

It was already 3:30, Emma was normally home at 3:00 at the latest. Even if she took the freeway home.

What if something happened to her?! What if Vince got out and kidnapped her! What if she got into an accident! What if..-

"Sydney! I'm home! Where's Emma I have a sur-..what's wrong Syd?" Adam said, noticing me crying. "Adam it's now 4:00, she's still not here. I've called her countless times." I said through my tears.

Adam just stared and kind of shook his head. Suddenly he ran to his office and didn't come out for an hour. The whole time I was crying and eventually fell asleep and when I woke up, we were in the car.

"Adam!" I screamed, making him jump. "Where are we going!?"
"To the hospital, Emma is there. and Bentley is with my mom. Emma was on the freeway and apparently passed out while she was driving and got
hit," He said, his breath shaking slightly. I loved how much he cared for her, even though he hasn't known her that long.

We ran to the front desk. "Name please," The woman said, not looking from her computer.

"Emma Jackson" Adam said.
"She's in the ICU, no visitors yet. I'm sorry. There will be a doctor out shortly to speak with you," She said.

Great, Emma could be horribly hurt and I can't even see her. Adam and I sat and cried, waiting for the doctor for what seemed like hours.

"Mr. Levine?" A doctor said as he walked over to us. Adam jumped up as soon as he saw him.

"We're sorry..Emma has suffered from Amnesia. We have not yet determined whether it will be temporary or not but you can go see her now if you wish," He said before we followed him to her room.
