3 Months Later 

One week after I gave birth to Bentley, I got to bring him home. It was stressful having a newborn, but I loved him so much. Vince was a great father to Bentley.

Vince got a lead role in a movie and they were filming in New York for 2 months. He was leaving today and I was having a hard time letting him go. 

"I'll be back in 2 months babe," Vince said as he wrapped his arms around my waist. "I don't want you to go," I said as I wrapped my arms around his neck. "I'll call you all the time," He said. "We'll miss you," I said. "I'll miss you guys too," He said before he passionately kissed me and left.

I sat down in the family room with Bentley's baby monitor in my hand. I heard the doorbell ring, so I set the monitor on the coffee table and answered the door. There stood Adam. "Hey Syd," He said. "Hi Adam," I said as he walked inside and I shut the door. 

Adam grabbed my hips and pushed my up against the wall. I crushed my lips onto his and tangled my fingers in his hair. Ever since the day in the hospital, anytime Vince wasn't home, Adam came over. I felt bad, but I loved Vince......and Adam. 

Just as Adam was about to take off my shirt, I heard a cry from the monitor. "Bentley," I said. I grabbed Adam's hand and walked upstairs with him. Adam came over sometimes when Vince was home and he would just hold Bentley and take care of him. Adam was a truely amazing dad to Bentley, just like he had been to Emily. 

I opened Bentley's door and walked over to his crib. Bentley was crying and stretching his arms out, waiting to be picked up. I grabbed him from his crib and sat in the rocking chair that was across from his crib. Adam started looking around his room and I started to feed Bentley. 

Once I was done feeding Bentley, I walked downstairs with him in my arms, with Adam following closely behind. Adam sat down on the couch and pulled me onto his lap. "I love both of you so much," Adam said. "We love you too," I said. "You will never know how sorry I am Syd," He said. "It's in the past. I just don't want to dwell on it," I said. "I miss you so much Syd." He said. "Honestly, I miss you too Adam. But, I love Vince. I'm sorry," I said as I got off of his lap and sat on the sofa across from him.

"I understand Syd. But, I'll always be here for you and Bentley," He said. "Thanks, it means a lot Adam." I said. 

Later that night, Adam and I put Bentley to bed and went to my room. As soon as we walked in, our clothes formed a pile on the floor and we were on the bed. 

An hour later, Adam and I were tangled in the silk sheets and his arm was wrapped around me as I rested my head on his chest. I laid there and thought about everything I had done in the past 3 months. I was now a mother and I was something I promised myself that I would never be.
