She crossed the large space between my table and that opened doors of the restaurant in a short amount of time,no smile on her face. She sat down comfortably, as it seemed, and then rested her purse on the floor next to her, still not facing me.

"Hello, my Pearl," I instinctively greeted her and she flinched physically from my claim of her. Meeting her was something I thought about a lot, and it made me realize how much I missed talking with her.

How much I missed all of her.

"Hunter," she said as a greeting with a nod, her frown growing on her full lips.

"Your mom called me," I started and she lifted her head. "She was asking about you since you refused to pick up your phone. Is there something wrong?"

"You don't know if there's something wrong, or not?" she asked me, hurt.

I shook my head and she shielded her face with her hands. It's funny how we both act the same when we're frustrated with something.

"Tell me."

"He used me," she spoke and I froze.

"Who's he?"

"William," she replied, her eyes glossy. "I thought he was harmless."

"Harmless?!"

"He worked in that private institute next to our place. I went to them because I was heartbroken and thought that they'd help me like all the other patients. They didn't, surprisingly, and they did nothing except took advantage."

"Why did you leave me?"

"Because I saw you no longer cared, and I was no longer welcomed."

"You're always welcomed."

"It didn't seem like so."

"You're pregnant."

"No more."

"What do you mean?" I asked, my nerves shaking beneath my skin.

"I had an abortion."

"Are you fucking insane?!" I slammed my fists against the table as i stood up immediately.

"Yes, I'm fucking crazy! I'm fucking crazy because it was my fault that I felt alone and weak and used, and you where bitching with your lover, right?! I'm damned for dropping one thing that drowned me every single day because he had no bright future waiting for him. No goddamn father that he'd love, am I right, Hunter?!"
