Cleo's P.O.V -
"We're late." Lana said to Macie and I, but I don't really mind being late to something.
"We'll it's not my fault we were in traffic." Macie snaps.
"It doesn't even matter. We're here." I said jumping into the irrelevant argument.
It's already hot outside, then on top of that my roommates enjoy bickering. It's fun living with them, but sometimes they take things too far and it slowly annoys me.
We are arriving at the beach in the afternoon, because traffic had lasted longer than we had expected. Actually we weren't expecting any at all..
I'm not too fond of the beach. I'm not too fond of pools or water in general. Showers are mandatory, so I don't have a choice. The ocean makes the hair on my arms stand up. Whenever someone goes in the ocean, it worries me. You can't see the bottom where your feet should stand.
"Shit, this is hot." I laugh, walking quickly and bouncing to switch feet because of the burning sand, that is working it's way into my sandals.
I lay my towel flat on the sand and prop up an umbrella to block the blazing sun. I see my friend's walk towards the water in their pretty swimsuits..mine is just all navy blue..nothing fancy. I keep shorts on over my bottoms.
"Wait," Lana quickly spun around almost tripping on her feet.
"Come with us." She asks, but I shake my head, no, kindly rejecting her offer.
"Please, you haven't gone swimming in a while." Lana attempts to convince me and I sigh, nodding my head. I don't want to go anywhere near the water, being at the beach in general is pushing it for me.
"It'll be fun, don't worry. Just relax." Lana tries to cheer my mood up as we walk to the water. I smile and put my hair in a bun, mentally cursing at myself.
