Niall's P.O.V

I thought about going after her for a moment, then I remembered how ungrateful she is. I saved her damn life and she never even thanked me. Yes, I made her spill her coffee on her, but I offered to help clean it off and she acted like an asshole to me about it.

She walks away with keys in her hand, looking ahead and keeps moving her hair because of the wind, her bag hung in the bend of her arm and her keys in the other hand.

Unfortunately, my car is parked two cars away from hers. The last thing I planned on doing was passing by her or even being near her.

On my way to my car, I hear her cursing and I laugh quietly. I don't know what she's cursing about, but it sounds like something has happened and I almost want to say that's what she gets, but no one deserves to have bad luck thrown upon them. I get in my car and pull out of my parking spot, driving slowly through the lot and I see the girl on the phone, tugging at her hair while she's leaned up against the car.

I'll feel like a huge asshole if I keep driving without seeing what happened, so I park in the empty spot right next to her car and get out.

I see the yellow boots placed on her tires, meaning she can't drive anywhere, the boots won't allow your car to move. The car is going to get towed. I almost laugh, until I see her face that has this black stuff smeared underneath her eyes. What the hell did she rub under them?

"Why'd the put these on your car?" They only put those on cars that haven't paid tickets.

"This is my roommates car," She slides down the side of the car, sitting in a position that would be uncomfortable to sit in. Her knees are up to her chest and her hands cover her face. "I don't know what to tell her." She shakes her head and I see her body making very small jumps.

"Don't cry, um.." I trail off because I was about to say her name, but I don't know it. "Is that what you're doing right now? Um, it's okay."

"Cleo." She looks up, wiping her cheeks and standing to her feet, just as I came closer to her.

"Don't cry over a car, Cleo. This isn't even your fault, it's whoever owns this car because they did something to get the boots put on the car." I pat her back because I don't really know what to do whenever people cry, but she flinches after the second pat on her back and I stop.

"I could take you to your flat, since you don't have a ride." I offer and she shakes her head no, but I talk her into it and she finally gets in.

"I like your car." She says, snapping her seatbelt across her body.

We get to her house and I park on the side because the driveway is too small. I get out of the car with her and she gives me an odd look, but I explain to her that I'm just walking her to the door.

"Thanks," She looks at the concrete once her cheeks flush. She still doesn't know my name either.

"Niall." I fill in the missing blank that she needed. "And you're welcome." I nod my head and walk off, hoping she'd call my name and come running to me like we're in sort of movie, but if she doesn't then I will.

"Hey, Cleo!" I say not too loudly, but she turns around, and I walk back halfway to her door.

"Are you busy tonight? Maybe we could hangout, if you'd like?" I ask, holding my breath.

"My boyfriend is upstairs, sorry." She shrugs with a sad smile.

There's this little feeling in that felt like my organs have dropped to my ass. I nod smiling, understandingly. I wave goodbye and she does the same, but I hear her calling my name and I turn around irritated on the inside, but I'll act like nothing is wrong. As usual.

"I was joking," She laughs to herself while walking to me. "There's is no boyfriend." She laughs standing near me.

I like hearing her laugh rather than bitching about everything and being mean. I squint my eyes at her, grinning. I don't think I like her? She's pretty, but I don't know if she's fully over her stuck up personality, well at least whenever she's around me, not that she will always be around me.

"What did you have in mind?" Cleo looks around, then back to me.

"We could go to a club? If you want to?" I toss the idea out and she nods. I tell her I'll pick her up later tonight and before I walk to my car, I turn around, tugging her wrist, making her spin around to face me. I give her a small hug and she keeps her hands at her sides, but I don't mind.
