Chapter 8 Continued

Kayla's POV

I feel Roman's presense and try to smile/ I am alive. Oh thank you lord. I have been laying inanimate for over a month and been trapped in my head unable to move or speak. I rememer that the alpha came to my house and set my house on fire after coming to visit me. It did not take very long before the whole house was up in flames and I slowly sufficated.

"Roman," I say with a hoarse voice.

I feel his eyes land on my face. A few seconds later I feel his tounge on my face and try to laugh. Sadly the laugh turns into an uncontrolable bout of coughs. Roman stops and whines at me. I try to find a comfortable place to let the caughing subside. I feel Roman change forms. Roman gently lifts me up into a sitting postion that helps a little bit. As he settles me against his chest the coughs begin to subside and a minute later they are gone. Roman kisses the top of my head and growls at the pack as they come towards us. I snuggle my head back into his chest to calm him down.

"Kayla please show me your eyes," asks Roman.

"I can not do that Roman or at least it would be of no use for me," I whisper hoarsely.

"What do you mean," he growls.

"The rouge alpha decide to make me suffer more before I died. He decided to take my eye sight completely away from me," I tell him.

The whole pack growls at that. I hear one of them step forward and drags something forward and I growl. The thing being dragged is the alpha of the Rouges. Roman looks down at me.

"What is it Kayla," he demands.

"Hold up KAYLA. No you mean that I practically killed my best friend from years ago. No, no, no," screeches Cameron.

"Techincally you did kill me, Cameron. I thought i recognized you that night. What has changed you so much that you would do this to someone you do not know," I demand.

"Well a tough rouge has decided to gather a lot of rouge packs and destroy all of the non rouges. He has gathered us and I was assigned to kill this pack," says Cameron.

"We will talk later of this am I understood," I tell him

"Yes my lady," he replies.

"Release him Don," I order the wolf that is holding him.

Don lets go of Cameron and retreats to the pack gathered around us. Roman grabs me around the waist and stands with me in his arms as Cameron moves a step closer. Roman growls.

"You will come no closer to my mate," Roman says.

"Roman calm down, please. Cam follow us," I order with my commanding tone.

Roman takes me to his house. i do not listen to see if Cam follows he knows better than to disobey my commands. Cam and I into it one time and I took him down in a one on one fight.Very few can say that they are better than Cam.
