Angelina wished she brought more money as she passed a street with record shops. The windows had on display all the new songs like Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, and The Jacksons.

Angelina stopped at a green light and watched as cars of all different colors zoomed passed in a hurry.

What makes her think Michael was still running away? What if he came to his senses again and realized his life was perfect? Then this all would have been a waste of her time and money. What if his number was fake? What if he was just a freakin Michael Jackson look alike?!

Angelina missed her light and scowled herself. The best thing to do would be to call him right now.

Angelina crossed the street while the traffic light was still green anyway.

She finally spotted a pay phone booth and walked inside. She came up to the phone and saw a piece of gum stuck under the six button. It still looked fresh and red. Angelina frowned at the gum. Why doesn't anyone have the curtsy anymore?  She dropped a few coins in.

Angelina's finger hesitated to press in his number for a second, but she conjured up her confidence and pressed the numbers in with sweaty hands. The operator quickly spoke to her and connected her.

"Jackson residence, who is this?" A soft voice said.

"Um. This is Angelina. I-."

"Oh hi Angelina! Michael told me all about you. You fell on his lap before right?"

"Yeah, uh, who is this?"

"I'm Imani, Michael's cousin." She said.

"Oh! It's nice to meet you Imani." Angelina squeaked.

"It's nice to meet you too Angelina." Imani concluded.

"I bet you're looking for Michael, right? He's at a bible study right now. "

"Bible study? How is he able to walk outside without his disguise? Wait- of course, he's back home right? I'm sorry I called I really shouldn-"

"No. He's not back home to his family. He's staying with me in my apartment. He said he needed a break for a while. I don't know what he meant by that, but he wouldn't talk about it. Anyway, I bought him a new disguise. So don't worry about it."

"Well o-okay, thanks. It was nice talking and all." Angelina cringed.

"Michael really liked the adventure yall had yesterday. He said he felt like it was straight out of a movie or something. He wouldn't shut up. I'm happy he's glad though. And so I think you guys should have another one together." Imani said quickly.

Angelina looked down and bit her lip from erupting into a smile.

"Really?"

A celebrity was thinking about her? And a very cute one too? Wow that's a first.

"Yeah. Just in case you wanna randomly surprise him at this bible study at my church, I can tell you where it is."

"That'd be helpful, thanks." Angelina sighed.

She told her the directions. It wasn't very far from where she was which was a relief.

"Thanks a lot Imani."

"No problem girl. I'm winking right now, just in case you couldn't feel it in my vibe."

That made her laugh.

"I have to go. Bye."

"Bye Angelina."

She hung up and walked out the booth with a smile on her face. The sun seemed friendlier. It embraced her in a warm hug instead of stabbing her with its rays. And her boots didn't feel like she was walking on stiff sticks, but on clouds.

She weaved her way through a crowded street, feeling light on her feet.

She accidentally passed the building and walked back to find it. She finally saw a white banner that read: Bible Study for Jehovah Witnesses Monday- Saturday. Her mouth flew open. The structure was so small, like the size of that deli store she went into yesterday. And it was below the concrete level. You had to walk down a few steps to get to the door.

Angelina walked down the steps. On the ground next to the door was brown dog poop with flies buzzing all around it. It stunk like hell.

Angelina opened the door quickly without a thought. Air conditioning suddenly gushed out at her and Angelina wanted to moan. Sweet sweet air conditioning.

The scene laid out in front of Angelina was a small concrete room. There was a wooden front desk on the tile floor and a coat rack next to it. Beyond the desk were blue doors with chipped paint all over it.

She walked fully in and shut the door behind her. You could see pipes in the ceiling.

Jesus loves you ma'am. How can I help?" A loud woman's voice said.

Angelina was startled to hear the loud voice in the quiet room. She looked at the woman sitting behind the wooden desk. She had wild red hair and looked a bit overweight.

"Uh, do you know where the bible study is happening right now?" She stuttered.

"It's right through those doors sweetie. Jehovah bless, have an amazing time."

"Thank you."

The thought of Michael only being a few feet from her made Angelina's heartbeat quicken. She walked through the lobby slowly as the lady continued to smile at her. She cracked open one of the double doors. She expected the door to make very little noise but instead the hinges sounded like the noise a cat made when drowning in a bathtub.

"Isaiah forty- thr" Was all Angelina heard until the voice stopped speaking.

She gulped and opened the doors fully.

"Good afternoon child." A raspy voice said.

On the brown carpeted room, there were 5 metal fold-up chairs in each seven rows. There was a short stage at the end of the room. In the middle of the room, there was a circle of chairs with a person in each. They were all looking at her. A figure with a huge Afro was the last to turn around. On his face was a coarse and curly beard covering half his face. His brown eyes widened when he looked at her. She winked quickly at him. Finally, Michael. A huge weight released from her shoulders.

"Good afternoon to you too." She said confidently.

"Come, pull up a chair and study with us." The raspy voice said again.

This time, she searched to see where the voice was coming from.

A man around the age of sixty-five was sitting in the circle with a book in his hand, she presumed a bible.

Her brown eyes scanned the little group and saw that everyone had an open bible in their laps.

Angelina pulled up one of the chairs in the rows and scooted next to Michael.

"I'm Adam, and you are?" Adam asked politely.

"I'm... Angelina." She said.

"Would you like a bible?"

"Uh- sure, thanks." She mumbled quickly.

Adam got up and walked slowly toward the stage with his cane. She started to feel bad she made the old man get up.

"Angelina! What are you doing here?" Michael hissed.

"I'm here to have an adventure again. Eugene." She whispered back with a smirk.

A smile slowly spread under Michael's beard.

"Okay."
