I woke up the next morning to my phone ringing. It was an extremely foreign number so I assumed it to be Chancelor."Hello?" I answered.
"Baby," I heard Chancelor say tiredly.
"Are you okay?" I asked concerned.
"Jet lag," he responded quickly. "How are you?" He asked me.
"I'm fine, how is everything?" I asked him.
"Good, I just got finished unpacking and figuring out where everything that I'll need is." he informed me.
"Oh, how is the climate there?" I asked curiously.
"Good, it's pretty hot and cool at the same time." he chuckled slightly. "I miss you, what are you doing today?" he asked.
"Probably nothing," I replied. "And I miss you more," I cooed.
"Oh," he said as I heard some noise in his background. "Baby, I gotta go. I love you, call you soon." he said.
"I love you too," I smiled as I hung up the phone.
Just as I put my phone down on the bed, it started ringing again. This time it was August.
"Hello?" I answered.
"B, wat's good." he spoke on the other end.
"Nothing wassup," I said.
"I need a favor, Rayna in the hospital and I need someone to watch Kay. Do you mind?" he asked.
"Nah I don't, I'll be there in about 30 minutes." I told him as I got out of bed.
"I 'preciate ya," he responded before he hung up.
I quickly got dressed and made my way to August's apartment.
"Hey Briana," the property manager spoke to me as I walked through the front door. "I need to speak with you," he told me.
"I gotta get upstairs real quick, I'll be back down soon." I told him rushing to the elevator.
I went to the 10th floor and knocked on their apartment.
"Comin'" I heard August say on the other end.
"Thank ya so much B," August said as he pulled me in for a hug kissing my forehead.
"It's no problem," I told him as I walked further inside. "Is Rayna alright?" I asked.
"Yeah, she'a be fine." he assured me. "If ya need anythin', just give me a call." he said as I nodded my head before he left out of the front door.
"Kay!" I called out to her.
"Huh?" she said as she appeared around the corner. "Bri!" she screamed as she hugged my waist.
"Hey Kay," I smiled as I patted her back.
After playing with Kay for a few hours, she was finally taking a nap. I made my way downstairs to the office to meet Bobby, the property manager.
"You wanted to see me," I spoke after I knocked lightly on Bobby's door.
"Yes, take a seat and close the door." He said as he finished typing on his computer. "What brings you by today?" he asked.
"Watching Kay for August," I told him truthfully.
"Oh that's cool, that little girl adores you." he smiled before his face turned into a frown.
"What's up? Why did you wanna meet?" I asked curiously as I grew nervous.
