Briana

2 weeks later

"Hello?" I answered the phone after it rang four times as it woke me up.

"H-hey Briana." My father spoke nervously as I got out of bed not wanting to wake Chance stepping into the hallway.

"Hey dad." I didn't say anything else and kept the silence until he spoke.

"How are you?" He asked as I leaned against the wall resting there.

"I'm okay, you?" I asked.

"Your mother and I are fine. We'd like to see you," he said. "And Brian if it's not a problem. I know how busy you are and," he rambled as I cut him off.

"Yes dad you can see us," I chuckled. "When would you like for us to come over?"

"Perfect. Can you guys come tonight? I know it's last minute" he spoke.

"That's fine, we'll be there. I'll be bringing company so be prepared," I told him.

"Okay will do. See you tonight baby girl, love you."

"Love you too, goodbye." I hung up the phone.

I walked back into the room and slipped into bed. Just as my head hit my pillow, Chance's arms wrapped around me pulling me closer. I closed my eyes right as Johnathan started crying.

"Hmph," I sighed preparing to get back up.

"I got him," Chance said as he kissed my cheek getting out of bed to go to their crib.

He returned to bed minutes later after he changed and cleaned him up.

"Say hi mommy," Chancelor said speaking to Johnathan as he looked up at me as he laid on Chance's chest.

I rubbed Johnathan's back soothingly hoping he would go back to sleep. Minutes later my wish was granted.

After laying down with my eyes closed for a few minutes, Chancelor spoke.

"Go to sleep mama."

"How do you even know I'm up?" I asked with my eyes still closed laughing slightly.

"You're not relaxed right now as usual so I know something's wrong, talk to me baby." He said as he turned a little so he could face me placing Johnathan between us. "And you haven't been sleeping through the night, so wassup?" He said as he caressed my thigh under the sheets.

"I'm fine." I told him as I kept my eyes closed.

"If you say so, sure." He said abruptly. "I can't read your mind Briana, if there's something wrong I want to fix it but I can't if I don't know what it is."

"I know," I finally opened my eyes. "I just," I sighed. "I don't feel safe here and it's fucking with me. I told you I wanted to move a couple of days ago and it seems as if nothing is happening." I admitted my feelings at the moment.

"You think I'm ignoring you?" He asked.

"That's not exactly what I said but I guess," I mumbled.
