I can't believe I got roped into this. It wasn't even ten minutes into the shopping trip and I could already tell that Cat is a shopping addict. She knows every store in the malls including, but not limited to, sales, when their new inventory comes in, which has odd sizes, and so on. Though it might be a little annoying, it is amazing for finding the right stores.
Amber, Noel, Gabby, and me are all being zoomed around the mall with Cat in the lead. Man, that girl can shop. I never thought she would slow down until she came to an abrupt stop. "This place sells amazing dresses! I know we're going to find the perfect dress here."
She forgot to mention that the entire store was filled with dresses and every one of my friends would have a different idea of the 'perfect' dress for me. Amber likes medium lenth and a little loose, Noel is really into the short and fitted style, while Gabby seems to be right in the middle of them. I personally believe that Cat is the only person that's not shopping for herself.
Intead of looking for what she looks good in, she's trying to figure out what I would, and that means trying on dress after dress.
She kept saying that she needed to work out styles so first, we work with lengths. From full lenth, to medium, and short, she finally decided that short works in my favor.
Next it's on to tightness. That's when the real changing come in. Tight on top with it loose on bottom, tight all the way down, and every other style know to man. I was really getting tired of trying on all of these dresses, and Cat appeared with another one. "Cat, I've tried on 100 dresses already."
"Than maybe 101 is the one, so try it on." And with that she was gone and I had yet another dress in my hand. Might as well get this over with.
She was right, this dress was the one. It was ice blue with a strapless top. At a little above my hips there's a sparkling sliver belt. The bottom of the dress had a flowing, slightly poofed out skirt that matched the ice blue on top. This dress really is perfect.
As I walk out of the dressing room. I can hear all of the girls squealing. "It's perfect!"
"You are going to look so hot for the dance."
"Why didn't I think of that?"
"Told you so." How did I know that Cat was going to bring that up? But she was right, this dress is absolutely amazing and now, I really hope this week would go by quickly.
"Ok so everyone is coming over to my house next Friday night to get ready right?" Why am I not suprised that Amber's having us all over. Every time there's something going on, we go to her house.
"Wait, is Gabby going?" She goes to a private school so why can she go to the dance? Noel is the first one to pipe up.
"Her boyfriend Eddie is in our school so she's going as his date."
"Oh that makes sense."
And now Amber has to butt in. "We should probably be getting home. How about we sleepover someone's house this weekend and talk about the dance details?" By details she means dates, hair, nails, and accessories.
"Sounds good to me. Anyone else?" Everyone agrees. Looks like I've got another fun weekend to look forward to. Oh, I have to tell Chase what color my dress is. I quick take out my phone to get a picture of it, wait, I can't show him yet. I got it! Zooming in, I only get the fabric of the top of the dress and a little of the belt into the picture. I quick type out the measage and hit send.
'You wanted to know the color, now you just have to wait to see the rest ;).'
"Come on! My brother's not going to wait all day!" And with that I run after the girls as we head to Noel's family car.
