Chapter Eleven

I looked over at Niall who was carrying a sleeping Mia in his arms as we walked along the beach.

“She loves you.”

Niall looked at me and grinned a response.

I ran ahead of them and unlocked the door, moving aside to allow him though.

“You know where her room is.”

I waited before Niall had disappeared up stairs before walking through to the kitchen and pulling out the ice-cream tub that I had bought two days ago. Taking out a spoon I began digging in, thinking about tonight’s events. Before I placed the third spoonful into my mouth to my surprise my arm was grabbed and the ice-cream disappeared into Niall’s smiling mouth.

“Hey!”

Niall laughed his beautiful laugh before taking the spoon from my hand, scooping some more and popping it into my mouth.

“Thanks.”

I walked over to the cabinet and pulled out the ice-cream cones, walking back to Niall I quickly scooped some out and placed them on to ice-cream cones, handing one to Niall and keeping one for myself.

We talked randomly about things and I watched as Niall talked about the school he attended in Ireland as he licked his ice-cream. Without thinking I reached out and pushed his arm, causing ice-cream to smudge all over his surprised face.

“Ava…” He said slowly, as he placed the ruined ice-cream down on the counter and began walking calmly over to me. After a few seconds he lunged at me grabbing my arm and attempted to squish it in my face. I screamed and laughed as I twisted my body around, covering my face with my shoulder. He appeared infront of me again with a evil smile on his ice-cream covered face.

“Sorry, Niall!” I screamed, laughing inbetween words, “I’m really sorry, okay!”

“Not good enough,” he laughed, as he pushed my arm again causing the ice-cream to collide with my face. Most was smudged on my nose, but a little bit sat on my eye lids and I licked a blob off my lips.

He crossed his arms, smiling smugly as he handed me back my ice-cream. In one quick movement I squished it back in his face he had just wiped clean and took off running out the door, laughing as I heard his footsteps behind me. In a second I was grabbed around the waist and lifted off the ground and swung around to face him.

He smiled and stared at my ice-cream covered face then leaned down, chuckling to himself and began lightly kissing the smudged dessert off my sticky face. I scrunched my nose up as he did so and giggled.

“What happened to you guys?” I heard a shocked voice exclaim.

We both swung around to meet the eyes of my shocked parents who immediately began to laugh when they saw our chocolate covered faces. We smiled guiltily as my parents shook their heads in amusement. “See, this is why I never leave you home alone.” My mom laughed.

“I better go, its past 11.” Niall said to my parents, then turning to face me asked, “Will I see you tomorrow?”

I pretended to think, then said with a smirk, “Depends, are ice-creams involved?”

“Defiantly not!”

“Then of course.” I grinned.

I woke up to a scuffling around my room. Fluttering my eyelids open I waited for them to focus. It was another beautiful day and the sun was already high in the sky.

“Morning love.”

I swung my head to the opposite corner of my room to where I had been looking. Niall was stretched out on the white couch reading one of my magazines I had placed the day before on my bedside table,

“What are you doing here?”

“Good morning to you too!” Niall exclaimed with a grin.

“Morning Niall.” I said while rolling my eyes and laughing.

“I came to visit you this morning at about 9am but your dad said you were still sleeping so Mia showed me to your room.”

“Why didn’t you wake me!?”

Niall blushed.

“You looked cute.”

I pulled a tongue at him as I climbed out of bed in my cupcake pajama’s and walked through to my bathroom.

“How long have you been here?” I asked as I began to brush my teeth.

“About an hour and a half.”

“Niall!? That is forever! I feel so bad.”

“Don’t. I could have left but I didn’t want to.”

I finished brushing my teeth and walked back out and over to Niall who was now sitting upright on the couch. I leaned my legs on his bent knees. I ran my fingers through his blonde hair and looked down and smiled at him.

“You’re cute.” I said as I kissed his head.
