Logan’s POV

I got up from the table, confused what to do. I carried my dishes to the sink rinsing them quickly and then putting them carefully in the dishwasher. I turned around, bumping into a small girl. “Sorry.” I said, looking down at her. My heart was racing when I realized who it was. Camila Cabello. Out of all the Fifth Harmony girls, she was by far my favorite. I didn’t want to look like a complete idiot in front of her but realized I already did saying that I was standing there in my underwear.

“It’s all good!” She responded lightly, looking me up and down. “But- just out of curiosity- is there a reason a boy in his underwear that I’ve never seen before is standing in my kitchen?” She asked jokingly.

“Well, it’s a funny story actually…” I began to explain but was interrupted by a pair of hands wrapping around my waist.

“Uhm, Camila, this is my boyfriend, Logan.” Lauren explained emphasizing the word boyfriend.

“Oh, boyfriend huh? Well it’s nice to meet you.” She said offering me her hand.

“Nice to meet you too.” I answered shaking it. Lauren spun me around, making me face her. The look on her face was anything but happy. A fake, forced smile was spread across her face.

“Logan, baby, would you mind meeting me in my room.” She said as more of a statement then a question. I nodded in response, following her into the room. She closed the door behind her, the smile fading quickly from her face. “Listen here. Camila can’t know about this. Neither can any of the other girls. In fact, no one can know but us two. I know you hate me and at this point I just feel awkward. We’ll keep our love act up in front of people but when we’re alone make sure you stay the hell away from me.” She explained.

“Wait a second… weren’t you just trying to take me out on a date yesterday?” I asked confused.

“Yeah but that was before I knew I couldn’t have you. The way you denied me kinda turned me on I guess.” She said. I could tell as soon as the words left her mouth she regretted it. She didn’t want me to know her weakness and me not wanting her was one of them.

“Huh. So just because I’m your ‘boyfriend’ doesn’t mean you can actually have me.” I said, teasing her. She sighed loudly and rolled her eyes at my attempt.

“Look, you really need to leave now so I can try and convince Camila that this relationship is real.” She said.

I awoke to the sound of my ringtone blaring in my ear the next day. I checked the time, realizing it was already five in the evening. I must have fallen asleep while watching Family Guy. I picked up my phone, not recognizing the number. “Hello?” I spoke.

“Hello there, Logan. It’s Gina. We have a date set up for you and Lauren tonight at a fashion show. There will be tons of paparazzi there. Make sure you keep the PDA pretty high but not too much- we don’t want it to look too staged. A limo will pick you up at eight. We have a tux already rented for you and our stylist, Jess will be over any minute to fix your hair and try and add some slight touch ups. See you tonight; make me proud.” The phone clicked, meaning she hung up. Wow. That was easy, I didn’t even have to speak. I checked myself in the mirror for the first time that day. I looked like a homeless person, yet I didn’t really care. I heard a knock at my door a few minutes later and in came a woman I assumed was Jess. Before I knew it, the limo was outside honking away. I looked in the mirror one last time and I had to say I looked pretty damn good. As I stepped into the limo a not too pleasant Lauren greeted me. She was wearing a red dress that stopped at her mid thigh with black stilettos. Her hair was left in loose curls and her makeup was dark. It was a simple look, yet she looked stunning. “You look stunning.” I said aloud. Wait did I really just say that to her?

“Uh thanks?” She said, clearly not expecting my comment. “There’s no one around, you don’t have to be nice to me.” She said, not looking up from her phone.

“I wasn’t doing it for anyone but you. You do actually look great.” I said. I watched as her cheeks turned a light shade of red. “Thank you.” She practically whispered. The limo came to a stop and the man came to open our door in the back. I stepped out first, a mob of paparazzi surrounding me. How could anyone get used to this? I could barely see my own hand in front of my face. I stuck my hand out, intertwining my fingers with Lauren’s. She held on tightly, not wanting to fall in her heels. I led the way through the crowd, down the red carpet, stopping here and there for pictures. I tried to look above, avoiding the flash. We were nearing the door when the paps finally said something that bothered Lauren. “HEY LAUREN! Isn’t this your sixth guy this week?” He spat. I felt her grip tighten around my hand, trying to hold back a nasty comment. I squeezed back, trying to reassure her. We walked inside, immediately finding our seats. When we sat down I glanced around, making eye contact with a scowling Gina. She mouthed for me to ‘step it up.’ I draped my arm around Lauren’s shoulders, and she moved closer to me. I could smell her Juicy perfume radiating from her, and it was fabulous. I turned my head to look at her and we pretended to smile at what we were saying, even though we were talking about the weather. I watched as she slowly moved in and placed a light kiss on my lips. I wanted to deepen it but was cut off by the blaring music, signaling the show was going to start. Little did I know it was also the beginning of a very interesting relationship.
