Lauren’s POV

“What the hell was that?” Camila asked her eyes wide.

“I don’t know. We were fighting and then all of a sudden it just happened and I didn’t stop it I guess.” I explained, unsure of my answer.

“Okay, well Lauren, next time you have to make it stop. We both know how you are. You have to remember he doesn’t really have feelings for you, he signed a contract.” She just had to remind me didn’t she?

“I know.” I answered curtly. I left her room before she could voice her opinion about anything else. Logan was still sitting on my bed, his hair ruffled and messy from my fingers tugging at it. “You should probably go.” I said quietly. He only nodded in response. I watched as he stood up and ran his hands over his clothes, trying to straighten out the wrinkles. I was silent as he made his way past me and out of the apartment. “Shit.” I whispered to myself.

~One week later~

Logan’s POV

I finished cleaning up the tables in the small diner and made my way back to the busy kitchen to deliver orders for people I had waited on. As much as I hated being a waiter, it kept me out of my mom’s house and anything was better than being there. I couldn’t stop thinking about Lauren though. It had been a week since I had spoken to her or Camila. Gina had texted me almost daily to keep me updated on Lauren’s schedule and that we had a date planned for tomorrow. How awkward would it be after what happened in her bedroom? I still have no idea why I did what I did. I honestly don’t even have feelings for Lauren, except anger really. I really like being around Camila though. I hadn’t had a chance to meet the rest of the girls but I was thankful because I didn’t want them to know about the contract. I was broken from my thoughts when I heard a girl squeal.

“Oh my God! Aren’t you Logan? Logan Lerman?” She asked. I nodded, confused by her excitement. “You’re dating Lauren Jauregui! I can’t believe you’re here! Can I please get a picture?” She asked.

“Uh…sure.” I responded awkwardly. Why the hell did she want a picture with me just because I was dating Lauren? She thanked me a hundred times before finally exiting the small diner, leaving me to my thoughts again.

~The next day~

I checked myself in the mirror one last time before heading out to the black Range Rover sitting outside of my house. The driver opened the back door for me as I got adjusted in my seat. “Hi Lauren.” I said, looking her up and down. Her long black hair was straight today and her makeup was dark, accenting those damn eyes of hers. She had on a white crop top and light overalls on that stopped at her mid-thigh and her white converse looked brand new. As simple as the outfit was, she really pulled it off well.

“Hi.” She responded in almost a whisper.

“So where are we going?” I asked, trying to break the uncomfortable silence.

“The community park, somewhere there will be a lot of paparazzi.” She answered as though it were obvious. Right paparazzi, because we aren’t really dating, I signed a contract. We arrived quickly and walked to what seemed to be a reserved picnic table. As we walked, she intertwined our fingers and the cameras went wild.

“Lauren!! Lauren over here! Lauren are you seeing Logan now? Did you guys have fun at the fashion show? Did he actually stay the night?” Thousands of questions were directed at Lauren all at once, but she ignored every single one of them, giving me a fake smile as we walked. We pretended to converse and she would laugh at something I said even when it wasn’t funny. Once the paparazzi realized Lauren wasn’t going to answer they started yelling stuff at me.
