2nd year in Konoha High School

Part XXXI

Sakura

I woke up just at 3 in the morning. I guess I can't sleep. Well I have been not sleeping as much lately ever since Sasuke left. It's actually rare that I had some rest tonight.

I got up from my bed and was getting ready for a shower. Once I was done, I got dressed, washed my face, brushed my teeth and hair, got my shoes on, and went outside of the hotel to find something to eat.

When I opened the door, I realized it was raining. So I went back inside and got an umbrella. Than I went back out. I'm starving!

Naruto

I saw the sun rise, but still raining. I guess it is morning. I can't check the time since my phone is dead. I kept trying to call Hinata all night, but it went straight to voicemail.

I gave up on knocking the door since I don't want to wake her up. She will get even more pissed at me if I did. I just sat here this whole time, looking at the rain. Some of it is getting in my face. I think I am catching a cold with all the sneezing and coughing I am having.

I just wish she would open this door so I can explain everything to her.

Hinata

I want to open this door and let him in. I heard him sneezing and coughing all night. I bet you he has a fever now. I do feel worried for him... but I can't forgive him.

H-he kissed Sakura... how can I forgive him? He probably doesn't love me anymore. The thought of it makes my heart hurt so much. I began to cry.

I went to check my phone to see if anyone has called me last night. I usually turn my phone off at night so I won't get the notifications while I'm sleeping.

I checked my phone and I saw that I missed 20 calls. 2 from Sakura, 1 from Kiba, 2 from Ino, and 15 from Naruto. I even got a text from Naruto too.

I looked at the text and it said, 'I am so sorry Hinata. I didn't mean to hurt you at all, but what I did wasn't wrong. I have an explanation. I will be outside by the door until you come out. Even if you don't forgive me, I still want to explain to you what happened.'

Naruto sent this message 11 at night. I bet you he hasn't sleep at all. He must be tired. I don't know what to do. Should I go out there and bring him in so he can rest? Or just keep him out there? I don't know...

I saw him outside the window. Just sitting by the door. There is a little shelter for him, but I can see the rain is getting on him. I can see that it is very windy. I can see that he is tired. I know he is sick, just by the way he looks. He must be freezing.

I hope he has a good explanation...

I unlocked the door and opened it. He fell right backwards when I first opened the door since he was leaning on it. I helped him up.

"H-h-" He couldn't speak.

"Let me get you some new clothes. You take a nice warm shower and I'll make some soup for you." I finally got him up from the floor and I closed the door.

"First let me explain." He finally spoke.

"I won't hear you until I know you are alright Naruto. Please do what I told you." I gave him a worried look. I remember I was upset at him, but now I just want to take care of his awful cold. I still am a little upset, and I know I will never forget this.

When Naruto was in the shower, I called the hotel service to see if they have medicine for a cold. They said they do and they are on their way to bring up to my room. After that, I made some chicken noodle soup for him. A few minutes later, I got the medicine and also saw Naruto coming out of the shower with his pj's on. I helped him towards the bed and I gave him his soup.
