2nd year in Konoha High School

Part XLVIII

Hinata

"So what did you need to explain to me Hinata?" My father asked in a serious tone.

I was speechless and I didn't know what to say, but I tried to anyways. "Well... I..."

"Hiashi, sir, can I speak with you privately?" Naruto interrupted as he put his hand around my waist. He than turned to me, "If you are fine with that Hinata?"

I simply nodded they both went inside the mansion. I just stayed outside the gate. After all, it is a nice day out. A little cold since its February, but not too bad.

Naruto

"So what is it you have to say?" Hiashi spoke.

"It's about Hinata. She is worried that I would get in trouble if we told you everything that happened." I took a deep breath, "It's a long story."

"Well it would be best if you take a seat." He pointed to the nearest chair.

I than began, "The day after you and Hanabi left... our friend, Sakura, attempted suicide because of the loss of her love."

"Is it Sasuke Uchiha?" He asked like he already knew.

"Yes. He left the village ever since I came back from being kidnapped."

Hiashi nodded for me to continue.

"Because of Sakura's conflict, I felt sorry for her as wanted to help her in anyway I can't. But, it went too far when she kissed me while we were at the hospital. The girl I used to be in love with was convincing me that I loved her more than Hinata and I fell for it." I took a deep breath and continued, "Once Sakura came out of the hospital and our relationship started to look very conspicuous, I remembered about Hinata not even knowing. So I wouldn't feel guilty by keeping in the secret any longer, I broke up with her. That is what she mostly didn't want to talk about. She was worried that you wouldn't give me another chance when she did."

Hiashi took a deep breath, "Naruto, the only thing I don't want to happen is you hurting her. Yes, it might have made her have unbearable feelings and broke her heart, but it sounds like to me that you also care for Sakura. I understand completely."

I than explained to him, "The thing is... Hinata did get hurt on that night. Mentally and physically."

Hiashi gasped than tried to calm down. "Okay, just continue."

"She mentally got hurt because of me which I feel so sorry for. She got physically hurt because..." I hesitated, but finally came out with it. "Sasuke Uchiha kidnapped her, but before he could do that, he stabbed her in the stomach so she wouldn't run off. That part Hinata told me." I sighed, "She also told me that she got knocked out on the way there, so when she woke up, she found herself healed and talked to Sasuke. She never explained to me the specifics and I don't she ever will explain it to anyone." I took a breath once again, "While she was kidnapped the night before school, all of us thought she stayed home because of me breaking her heart, but when Sakura found out that something happened to her and she wasn't home, and that Sasuke's master or partner, Orochimaru, wasn't teaching at school today, and that Itachi, Sasuke's brother, wasn't there either, all of us only thought on one solution." I paused, "That Sasuke kidnapped Hinata."

"So than all of you, including the rest of your friends went to go and save Hinata without calling the police?"

"Yes sir. If we did, they all would've died. You see, Orochimaru and Sasuke are really bad criminals and can't be defeated so easily. I thought I could've matched with Sasuke, but realized that he has become a lot stronger than me."

I than went back to the story. "So as I was saying, we all went to try and save Hinata. We also tried to bring Sasuke home too, but that failed. We did bring Hinata home, but she got into a coma a few minutes after she was set free. She told me that is was because of Sasuke and I having our fight. I was mostly injured by being stabbed with a blade as Hinata only suffered injuries from her legs. She took physical therapy once she woke up from her coma and forgave me for what I have done to her. We are now back together, but there is one thing that is still bothering her."

"And what is that?"

I sighed out of despair, "She can't live here anymore."

"Why?" Hiashi looked worried and confused at the same time.

"She still has the tragic memories of how she got kidnapped in this house. I found her on her knees crying sir. If I may ask you a favor-"

"She can stay with you for now Naruto." He interrupts.

"T-thank you sir." I looked surprised on how soft he is around me. I still remember I times when he believed that I was too immature to live my own life. We have gone a far way.

"Well thank you for telling me everything Naruto." He smiled. For once, Hiashi smiled.

I smiled back too as I went out the door. He stayed inside as I told Hinata everything that happened.

She than gave me s hug and a kiss on the cheek. "How did you do that? How did you make him convince you to still be with me and to live with you for the time being."

I looked into Hinata's beautiful eyes. "Trust. As much as I trust in you I how much your father trusts in me."

Hinata smiled as I did too. We than began walking home to my place and stayed there for the rest of the day.
