2nd year in Konoha High School

Part XXXIX

Naruto

"I knew she was not going to be here." I whispered to Sakura.

"Orochimaru isn't here either. Probably with Sasuke." Sakura mentioned.

While we were whispering up this conversation at school during Homeroom, Ino came up out of no where and asked what we were talking about.

"Hey lovebirds! You don't have to keep everything to yourselves. What were you guys talking about?"

"That one of the teachers has a substitute today." I did tell Ino the truth, so I know she won't think I am lying.

"Weird... same here. Itachi sensei is out too." Ino mentioned.

W-what? Itachi Uchiha? I know that this is no joke. Sasuke had a older brother that passed away long ago. He told me when we were young. How could he be alive? No one in this town goes by the name Itachi so I know it's not a coincidence.

My body froze just by the thought of hearing his name. And I bet you Ino is going to get curious on why I am like this. So I just brought up an excuse. "Uh... I forgot something in my locker." I start walking away. "Be right back!"

I just ran out with a sigh of relief and went to the bathroom to wash my face and forget about this nonsense for the rest of the day.

Sakura

"That was weird. He seemed terrified." Ino giggled.

There has to be a reason why he ran off. Not unless...

"Ino. What is Itachi's last name? If you don't know, what does he look like?" I asked right away.

"I don't know his last name. I know it starts with a 'u', but that's all. He has black hair and his eyes look like he hasn't had sleep, but probably a birth mark." Ino explained in every detail.

It has to be... Itachi Uchiha. I know that has to be Sasuke's older brother, but how is he alive. He died a long time ago, at least that is what I heard from Sasuke. Probably that is why Naruto is worried. I hope he is alright.

"What wrong with Itachi Sensei?" Ino asked.

"Oh it's nothing Ino. Don't worry about it!" I giggled. I know she would buy it.

"Okay... Well anyways, have you seen Hinata? It is rare for her to be absent."

I told Ino the truth. "I actually don't know why she isn't here. Yes Hinata and Naruto have broke up but-"

"Wait they broke up!?" Ino screamed. She yelled so loud that everyone in Homeroom heard. It was just embarrassing.

"Okay Ino. You can be a little quiet now." I whispered to her.

"But Sakura... why did they break up? They were such a nice couple."

"U-uh..." I looked away from her. Not only that, but since some people heard her. Temari, Choji, and Shikamaru came up to me too. "Well Naruto broke up with her because..." I looked down on the ground with full of blame. "Of me... I made Naruto do such a thing since we are a..." I hesitated, "A couple."

Everyone's reaction... they were surprised at the fact of what I just said. Choji even choked on some of his chips he was having when all the girls gasped. Shikamaru was the only one that didn't really have a reaction.

I feel so sorry for what I did. I sat down at my desk before the bell rang. I just hope Hinata is doing alright.

Hinata

I finally found myself awake. I was in a room, fill with darkness all over. I screamed to see if anyone will answer and then I heard a familiar voice.

"Shut up! Will ya?!" He said ungracefully.

I couldn't just shut up. I tried to get up, but I found myself all tied up. My wound that is in my stomach is healed. How? How long was I out?

"What's today?" I asked him.

He just huffed and told me. "Today is Monday. You've only been out for a day."

"But how is my wound healed?"

"Somebody healed it for you. We have to keep you healthy. At least I have to until Orchimar-"

"Why are with Orchimaru!?" I interrupted him. "Why Sasuke!? Have you forgotten that you have friends that care for you?" I began to tear up.

He came up closer to me so I can see his face. "I have to take him down Hinata. I need to gain power in order to do that. That is why I am with him. You probably wouldn't understand." His face... he looked determined.

I than thought of one more question to ask him. I can't believe I haven't even asked him yet. I began to talk, "Why did you kidnapped me? Why Sasuke?" My eyes were still in tears just by the fact that he is doing this.

Sasuke gave me his answer. "Isn't it obvious that you are the heiress of the top clan in Konoha. If you are our hostage, than we can rule Konoha once in for all."

"What do you mean by we?" I questioned.

"I mean Orochimaru and I. Mostly Orchimaru. All I want to do is get enough power and kill my older brother. Does that explain everything to you?" He finished off.

I just nodded. I didn't have anything else to say, except for one more thing. "If you didn't know... Sakura attempted suicide for you."

Just by me saying that, I heard a gasp from Sasuke. But he changed it to a laugh right away so I wouldn't notice. "Well that is stupid for her to do such a thing."

Sasuke then walked away and kept me tied up so I wouldn't run off.

Naruto

"Why have all you guys been giving me a glare all day?" I asked everyone as we all were walking out of school.

Sakura was the only one that didn't give me a glare. She was actually the victim too. I don't know why. So I asked Sakura, "Why is everybody staring at us?"

"I'll tell you once everyone leaves." She whispered to me as we were on my way to my apartment.

Once we got there, she told me everything. "I sort of told Ino that we began dating and you broke up with Hinata. I didn't know it would turn into this." She said it so quickly. Like she was ripping a band-aid off so fast, but I heard every word.

"Well... they were going to find out some time. At least they know now." I told her so she wouldn't worry.

Sakura just nodded as she opened the door like she was going to leave. "Sorry Naruto, but I have to get home early. I'll see you tomorrow."

I looked at her sheepishly and said, "Okay. Well, see you tomorrow."

She than closed the door and left. I just sat on my couch and began to read manga. I was actually reading the same manga I got from Hinata. I than looked at my wrist and still saw that I was wearing the bracelet I got from her.

Why do I still feel this way? I thought that I would love Sakura... but...

Do I still love Hinata?

Sakura

I kept ringing the doorbell, but she won't answer. Hinata usually answers me right away. Why is she taking so long.

I opened the gate and in my surprise it is unlocked. I went to the front of the house and found a window broken. I rushed inside right away and didn't see Hinata in the house at all.

Where is she? Why isn't her parents here yet? Could someone have kidnap her? Where the hell is she!?
