2nd year in Konoha High School

Part XLIII

Sakura

"Hinata." I whispered her name as we were inside the hideout where she was originally kidnapped with the others. She was still unconscious and I was trying to wake her up. But by the look at it, I doubt she will wake up right this second.

I just laid her down on my bag as a pillow and bandaged her up at the parts that look bad. It looks like she got injured not too badly, but I'm surprised by that. I wonder why Sasuke and Orochimaru wanted her so badly. I guess she wasn't persistent and followed every demand she was given just to not get injured. Or maybe she wasn't given an order at all.

The wounds I am mostly seeing on her is the legs. They were just bruised not that long ago. I guess she has been sitting here for a long time. Probably the whole time. She won't be getting up for a while.

As I finished bandaging up what has been barely injured. I got up and looked at the others. "We have to leave immediately and bring Hinata to the hospital."

"But what about Naruto?" Kiba asked.

I gave him an answer. "For now, he has other things to handle with Sasuke."

Naruto

I got hit once again by Sasuke. He is way too fast for me. It's like he has vision to see my every move, but this can't stop me from bringing him back.

I started to rage by the fact he kept hitting me to the ground over and over. So instead of taking it all in and keep falling, I got up and stayed up. I waited him to come over and waited for him to make his next move.

Once he ran up to me, he lifted up his right leg and was about to kick me until I blocked it by holding on to it with my left hand. But he than brought up his left arm and was about to punch me until I grabbed his fist with my right hand.

Sasuke was trapped, but I was too. So he backed up and just glared at me as I did the same. I began to talk to him. "Sasuke. Please just forget about this revenge and come home with us. We need you Sasuke. Sakura needs you. Did you know what she did for you?"

"She attempted suicide. I know." Sasuke interrupted. "I saw everything Naruto, and Hinata told me too. I have to take these feelings out of me. I need to build up my hatred for him. Don't you understand? He has to-"

"Don't you understand that Sakura was about to die!? Don't you want to cherish these feelings and keep them so she won't die. You don't need hatred. It's not the answer at all."

"Naruto, because of these feelings I am not strong enough. I have to take them away. For my sake."

Sasuke
(Flashback)

As I was stealing drugs from a store for Orochimaru, I saw a patience list of people who have been in here.

I saw Sakura's name on there and I saw what medication she got. It's not something she would take and it was a lot of it. The thought came to mind that she was going to take them all at once. Because of that possibility, I went to Sakura's house and looked at her bedroom window.

She was about to take all the pills at once and I was about to stop her, but I didn't. I remembered that I left everyone. That I left her and she shouldn't really have the feelings for me. Even if she did, it's her fault.

I let her take the drugs and left the town to go back to Orochimaru's hideout.

(End of Flashback)

"That's selfish Sasuke! You can't just take away everything you were given!" Naruto yelled right at me.

I just ignored him and rushed up while he was distracted. I than pulled out my knife and stabbed him in his right arm so he can't use it anymore. Once I did, I kicked him against a wall made out of rock and punched him in the gut once again.

Over and over, he than became unconscious and fell to the ground. When I knew he wasn't getting up, I just left him and went back to the hideout. Where I found that my hostage has left. Well, I guess Orochimaru's plan has failed.

Since she is not here, I went back in my room and took a nap and waited for Orochimaru's return.

Sakura

As we went out of Orochimaru's hideout, Kiba was holding Hinata bridal style, we found Naruto on the ground not getting up. Everyone stopped and took a break as I went to see if he got injured. Which he did by the look at his arm. It look like he got stabbed. Luckily it wasn't a vital spot.

When I bandaged Naruto up, Choji just carried Naruto as we all went to the hospital. The only two that got injured was Naruto and Hinata. Thankfully it isn't too bad. I know they will be alright.

Once we reached the hospital, Naruto went to the ER. His arm was actually getting affected. I guess I didn't notice the poison in the blade that Sasuke used was that severe. Hinata just went to a normal room, but was still unconcious.

Everyone left and went home since it was getting late. I called my mom and told her I would be staying. At first she argued, but she than let me anyways. I just stayed in the waiting room for hours until a nurse came up to me to tell me that one of them is awake.

"Naruto Uzumaki is conscious. He is still very weak, but he is allowed to see visitors. Hinata Hyūga is still under a coma and we all don't know when she will wake up from it. You could visit her anytime, but she won't wake up for a while now." The nurse told me.

"Thank you for everything." I replied back as I got up and went to Hinata's room first. I wanted to see her. I haven't seen her for a long time.

I stayed there for only a few minutes since I wanted to see Naruto too. But just by looking at Hinata again for such a long time, I felt guilty inside for what I have done.

I left Hinata soon after and went to Naruto's room right away. Once I opened the door I saw him sitting up. It was like he was waiting for me this whole time. "Naruto... I..."

"You saw Hinata, didn't you?" He interrupted.

I just gave him a nod. "I am so sorry for what I did to you two. I now understand that it was completely wrong to play with your feelings like that. I'm sorry."

"Sakura. I did this not just for me, but for you too. I know that it would've hurt Hinata if she found out. But before she got kidnapped, it was you that was hurting the most. I know what you are about to say and you know how I really feel right now. You know that I have loved her all this time, but was feeling desperate. I know you still love him Sakura and I promise I will bring him back."

Naruto

Sakura came up to me right away for what I said to her. I knew that this was the truth the whole time.

She started to cry and put her head on my bed as she was kneeling on the floor. I put my hand on her head and played with her pink hair as I said, "You and Hinata are great friends, right?"

She than looked up at me and nodded with out saying a word.

"Than you should tell her what we did."

She began to speak, "But Naruto... she needs to hear it from you. After all, she loves you more than anyone. It would hurt her the most if it isn't from you."

I just nodded in acceptance. "Your right. If I broke her heart, I have to put it back together."

Sakura than smiled to me as she got up. "Thank you. I'll be leaving, knowing that you two are alright. Well, Hinata is still in a coma. She is actually in the room right next to you if you ever want to see her." She said as she was exiting the door.

"Thank you Sakura." Was all I could say when she closed the door and left.

I waited hours until I finally had the urge to get up. And once I did, I of course went to the room right next to mine. I saw her laying on the hospital bed very peacefully.

I walked up to he very slowly and brushed her long raven hair as I sat down next to her bed. I leaned in and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Soon after that, I laid beside her on her bed. I stayed like this with her until the nurse kicked me out and made me go back to my room. I haven't been with her for so long.

Being with her, makes me the person I am. Hinata...
