One Year Later
Leahs POV
"Waliya, I'm going to my job... fuck sake I'm getting late. By the way you won't see me when you come home ... Bye." That girl.I can't wait to go to my job interview. I wanted to start off small as a personal assistant just to keep myself going. I am only 18, then I would start building my career. To be honest I haven't got a clue, what I want to be.
I made a few phone calls to different businesses.
From the Ahmed's to the Khan's. Unfortunately, I got rejected. I then called the Grey Enterprise. This woman with a proper London accent that I literally desired to posses, picked up the phone.
She said her boss needed a PA, so she goes no one is going for the job except me. But I still need to go through the procedures, ie... Interviews. So I am going now. I wore black peg leg trousers, with a white shirt tucked in shirt and a a navy blue coat/ blazer. I then put on some black loafers. My make up was just casual. Basically my everyday makeup.
...
My car needs petrol. I CBA to be honest. I entered the building it was massive. As I walked in, the people who were occupied with their work were to busy focusing on me. It was very awkward. I also went red like a tomato. Just then I think the receptionist approached me. She was the exact same lady who spoke to me over the phone. She had a tight tube skirt on, and her top showed too much off her cleavage but who am I to judge?"Are you Leah Malik?" She asked. "Um... Yeah." I said very shyly. "Well I have seen your CV and you are suitable for the job Leah.
So you don't need to go through the job interview palava." She said in her posh accent. She sounded more nice on the phone than she did in person. "You will start immediately." Wow! I can't wait. "Okay." I said. "The elevator is there and take the third floor. You will find the door which says 365. Enter that room and your work will begin." She said pointing to the elevator.
"Thank you." I said. I made my way to the elevator and did as she asked. I knocked on the door and a husky voice said,
"Come in." It literally sent shivers down my spine but sounded familiar. I opened to see that very guy who I was trying run away from. That very guy who remained in my heart till I tried forgetting him. And now he is here. I didn't let my emotions come out. I tried to hold in the feelings that have been kept away. Hidden.
I walked in and just pretended as If I didn't know who he was. "Hi Mr. Khaliq, my name is Leah Malik and I am your new personal assistant." I said trying to fight back my tears. I brought out my hand for him to shake it.
Adams POV
My new PA assistant is arriving any minute soon. She arrived and knocked. "Come in." I said. She opened the door. It was Leah. I can't believe this what brings her here, after all those months of finding her I have finally found her. "Hi Mr. Khaliq, my name is Leah Malik and I am your new personal assistant." She said. How can she call me by my surname? I could see her trembling. The way she brought her hand out to me I could see her shaking.
"Um... Leah you don't have to call me Mr.Khaliq."
"It's okay Mr. Khaliq I am just keeping it professional that's all."She said avoiding contact. I got up of my seat and said, "Leah where have you been all these months?
Where were you? I have been looking everywhere for you. And why didn't you tell me you have cancer huh?" I said everything just came out.Her eyes widened, again she tried to hold back her tears but they just flowed. "Adam. How on earth do you know this? And what gives you the right to question me? Don't you have a wife to worry about?" She said quickly wiping away her tears. "Leah please. Don't be like this I never got married and Dr. Lee told me. He only told me because I knew something was up with your health." I said.
