His Addiction

When We Were Young...

Leah's POV:

I woke up after a long nights sleep. It was gloomy and foggy outside.

I looked to my right and Sophia was not there. Just as I was about to get up aunty Hanifa arrived with a full on breakfast in her hands on a tray.

"Morning sunshine!" Aunty chirped. I smiled and said, "Aunty it is fine no need, I should be the one making you breakfast!" She smiled. "Where's Sophia?" I asked.

"She nipped down to the shops for me to get a few things but do not worry love, you have enough time to catch up!" She said. Aunty then left the room.

*flashback*

"Mummy... Where are we going?" I asked in curiosity. "Don't worry cupcake we are just visiting my friend. She said. "Mummy, who will I play with?" I asked and pulled a pouty face. "My friend has a daughter named Sophia, she is the same age as you darling."Mum said.

We arrived to mum's friends house and her friend opened the door.

I see a little girl standing behind Aunty and she was sucking her thumb. Mum and aunty Hanifa greeted each other.

We entered the house and Sophia led me to her room. "Hi, my name is Sophia." She said. I remember we talked and talked.

As a few years went on we became the best of friends. Mum unfortunately died. Then Sophia's dad died of cancer in the same week. Sophia's mum wanted to get away from everything so I was left with my horrible aunty.

*flashback ends*

I began to feel tears going down my face. "Leah!" Sophia said. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Nothing Sophia, I just remembered mum thats all." I said.

She squeezed me tight and we hugged for like five minutes. "We have lots of catching up to do!" She squealed. After ages I finally felt loved. Just as I was about to get in the shower, I got a message.

Adam: hi, leah its adam. 😏You okay?
Awwwh I said to myself I blushed and replied:

Me: yeaah i'm fine, 😊i finally feel fresh lol, 😌is it okay if i talk to you later cus i really need a shower! 😬
Adam: yeah lool, cya😉
Me: cyaa 🙂
Well that was awkward.

I finally finished my shower, got changed into a grey slit dress and black jeans followed by my white air maxes and my hair was still wet so I let it down.

"Sophia!" I screamed whilst going down the stairs. "Yeah?" She asked. "Where's aunty?" I asked. "She's in the kitchen!" Sophia yelled.

I went to the kitchen to see aunty cooking.

The aroma of Chicken hit me fast.

I went to aunty and asked, "Need any help?" I kissed her cheek.

She reminded me a lot of my mum. "No, Leah it is fine. I'm going to finish in like a few minutes and we can have a girls day out. If that's okay, just to get your mind off things.

"And Leah please don't think about your horrible aunty. She doesn't deserve someone like you and by the way I've got a surprise for you!" I looked at her and hugged her. We both hugged each other. Then Sophia interupped us, "Erm... How can you two hug without me?" Aunty and I laughed and she joined us.

We went to White Rose. It was really big and contained lots of shops.

I had to shop at New Look first.  Sophia and I bought lots of jumpers as it was getting cold.
